Swim & Bounce

15 Dec, Wed: We went to swim at the club in the morning. Went to T3 for lunch and redeemed few receipts for the kids to play at the bouncing castle.

Caden was very cute. The jie-jie was helping him climb up the slide when he told her fiercely, "I don't need you!"

We rested at Coffee Bean after their bounce and Brandon told Daddy that he loved the cafe cos it's a "No Studying" place! Faintz... Alicia & Brandon continued playing at the T3 Slide while Caden played at the playground.

Penguin Wonderland

We went to Jurong Bird Park, mainly for the Penguin Wonderland attraction today. Da-gu & Cousin Shermaine followed too.
Other than the Penguin attraction, we watched the 2 birds show at the Ampitheatre, visited the Owl at the World of Darkness, fed the birds at Lory Loft and took pictures at the Waterfall Aviary. Those alone, we spent 6.5hrs there. So hot & tired... but, I think the kids enjoyed themselves. : )

Caden - so happy after getting into the wagon cos Mummy asked him to sit on the stroller while jie-jie & gor-gor sat on the wagon.

Caden said he jus wants to take photo with the Flamingoes and Penguins. And he did...At the Penguin Coast

I'm amazed at how these penguins can withstand the hot weather in Singapore. They are not in air-con rooms!

Someone became a masked-monster along the way... sulking.

World of Darkness - how nice cos it's air-conditioned. Happy family

Alicia & Brandon got the invite to the Penguin Party. Caden was afraid to sit with the rest of the kids so got stuck with Mummy outside the enclosed zone. He got comfortable after a while and sat down to watch the magic show. Alicia & Brandon enjoyed the magic show so much they laughed so loudly!
After the almost an-hour show, they were led to the Penguin Coast again to take photo with Pinky, the little penguin. So nice... they could get so close to the penguin. Too bad the photo were taken in groups, and they din allow flash photography. So, the dark photos...
After lunch, we walked to the Lory Loft. It was up the slope and Daddy had problems cos 2 heavy kids sitting in the wagon! They were chanting, "Go Daddy Go! Jia You Jia You!!!" Hilarious!
As you can see, Brandon is the bravest of all...

Den, we walked to Waterfall Aviary. Look at the kids pose!

A last photo with the flamingo before we leave...

Go Diego Go!

We went to United Square on Thursday to watch Diego's Sing-along at 12nn. Reached there 10mins before 11am so that we could spend some $ and redeem a photo pass. Kiasu me... no queue or crowd at all, unlike Barney's show. The kids enjoyed the show alot, especially Caden. He's been singing "Go Diego Go!" these few days. He was very pleased with the photo, kept telling everyone that Diego hugged him. : )

Initially planned to rush to Plaza Singapura for the 1pm Sesame St show. But, Daddy changed his mind and we had lunch and more shopping at USq... He said, "Mummy, you made me very busy these few weeks..." Hee... all for the kids!

Rapunzel & Teen Titans

Alicia & Brandon went for their replacement swimming class on Monday morning. On Tuesday, we went to Tampines GV to watch Rapunzel movie. Caden din want to follow so we left him with 99. That night, Brandon stayed over at 99's place - his request each time he's on school holidays. We went over to Tampines on Wednesday again. This time, to watch Teen Titans at Century Square. O... it was so pathetic - the space for the kids to sit, the crowd watching, and even the show itself! Such a disappointment.

Orchard Shopping

After a good nap after last Sunday's Kids Dash, we headed to Orchard for shopping. Yesterday den I realise - out of the almost 20pcs of top & bottom I got for Alicia for the past week, seems like 90% are pink. She likes pink or I like pink??
Kids saw the Christmas lightings. Is it me, or??? I find that the lightings are getting boring year after year. We took some photos here & there but none turned out nice.

Conversations

What the kids said recently.

Girls vs Boys
Mummy hugged Daddy in front of the kids. Alicia pushed Mummy away and said,
A: No... he's my Daddy. Only can have 1 girl and 1 boy.
Caden said,
C: No... 1 boy can have many girls...
Daddy laughed and said,
D: Yes, 1 boy can have many girls.
Mummy faintz...

Steps to sleeping
While the kids were lying on their beds,
M: Are you ready to sleep?
B: Yes... Step 1, off the lights. Step 2, cover blanket. Step 3: sleep.
A: Step 4, wake up. Step 5: Go downstairs & sleep with Daddy & Mummy!
C: Yes, yes, yes!!
Aiyo... A & C have been waking up almost every nite recently and doing steps 4 & 5!

What's a Tail?
Looking at the lizards,
C: The lizard's tail is moving...
M: Lizards have tail. Does Caden have a tail?
C: (Pondering for a while) No...
Xiao-gu: You sure u hv no tail?
C: (Pondering again...) No... I have gu-gu-bird-bird. My tail is in front.
Wahahaha!!!

Standard Chartered Marathon - Kids Dash

The day we've been looking forward to - the 750m Kids Dash. The weather was great!!! We woke up at 7.15am. The traffic was smooth although there were road blocks. Initially planned to park at Raffles City but as it was full, we parked at Marina Square instead. Seems like a better choice.

Caden followed us cos Er-gu was nice to come along with us. As there were no restrictions, she pushed him in the stroller and walked with us.

Alicia & Brandon did well - they din complain of the distance at all. Alicia even sprinted towards the finishing line as "I want to win Brandon...". In the end, all 3 got medals.

We had lunch at Imperial Treasure @ Marina Square and Mummy thought we could watch Hi-5 show too. Who knows, when we went to the stage area at 12.30pm, it was already full. We couldn't find a good spot so Alicia dragged Daddy to the playground instead. We managed to catch about 10mins of the show towards the end.

No Swim

Alicia & Brandon were looking forward to the swimming class on Saturday. Too bad... it started raining heavily when we were waiting for the class to start. The swimming pool had to close cos there was lightning. So Coach James said to coem back on Monday for a replacement class.

Power Rangers RPM

We brought the kids to Sembawang Shopping Centre for the Power Rangers RMP Meet & Greet on Friday. Brandon was extremely happy. We redeemed the photo pass but when he heard that there's a tea party at 3pm, he wanted that too. Daddy said no cos he has music class at 3pm. He replied Daddy, "Aiya... dun go music class lor. Waste time only. Go tea party better." Faintz...

By the time we went to the atrium, the seats were also half taken. Caden jus wanted to sit on his stroller and we choped a good place outside the barricades. Daddy brought Alicia & Brandon in.

When it was photo-taking time, Caden said, "I only want to take photo with Blue Ranger." And he did... jus look at his pose!

That Purple Dinosaur

Talk about us parents being busy during the kids' school term. It's worse during school holidays! It's show after show... Luckily (or unluckily), the speech & drama & some enrichment classes at our district are full. Else,... Mummies, u get what I mean?

Caden kept pestering Mummy to bring him to see Barney, the purple dino. Hence, we went to United Square today, hoping it won't be so crowded. After our lunch, quickly sent Daddy, with the receipt, to queue up at 12.30pm to redeem the photo pass to be given out from 1pm. Mummy brought the kids to shop around and managed to get them their school shoes for next year. Then, when we were at Gio Junior trying out a dress for Alicia, Daddy called to say that he's already redeemed the photo pass and is in the queue to watch the show. So happy!

While waiting... Caden kept asking me why he could only hear Barney & Friends sing but can't see them.

The kids, especially Caden, enjoyed the show very much. While queueing for the photo-shoot, Caden kept saying that he only wants to take photo with Barney & BJ. It was just nice that they were standing together at one corner. After the photo taking, he said to me, "Mummy, I said I want to take photo with Barney & BJ rite? But, I only took photo with BJ..." I only realised what he meant when I looked at the photo.
Not enuf of them? Here's a standee...

Enjoying ice-cream at Swensen's after the show. Oops... even Mummy also indulged in them when I'm still coughing!

NEX Shopping Mall

Daddy had initially wanted Mummy to rest at home on Wed but when Er-gu suggested going to NEX for lunch, we readily agreed. : ) It was so crowded, long q to get into the carpark. Hence, Daddy dropped us at the drop-off point and he went to park at the multi-storey carpark at central. We walked around and ended up at Freshness Burger. Daddy & Er-gu have been wanting to try their burgers. Price, a little on the high side, but freshness indeed. Walked around FairPrice Xtra to shop for groceries before heading home. We din even go into any of the other retail outlets!!! Next time.... when the crowd settles down.

The 2 burgers for Daddy & Mummy. Look at their variety of sauces to choose from!

Dora "The Big Pinata" Live Show

Woke the kids (& Daddy) up from their afternoon nap to quickly take their dinner before heading to Raffles City. It was raining cats and dogs and hence, traffic was slow. By the time we reached RC carpark, it was 6.57pm. Daddy dropped us first and I ran with the 3 kids to the Atrium. Huh?? Not level 1? Heard the noise coming from Level 3 and we dashed up the escalators. Jus in time to catch the 7pm Dora "The Big Pinata" Show!!!

It was quite a crowd - many ang-mohs too. KS Mummy shoved Alicia & Brandon into the crowd while Caden stayed with me at the back. Quite an entertaining show, jus like the DVD episode. Too bad there's no photo-taking with Dora & Boots. The tickets for the tea-party in December have also been fully redeemed. : (
