Cheapo kiddy rides

Brought the kids to buy fruits after I picked them from school. They automatically climbed onto the cheapo-kiddy rides and requested $$$ from Mummy.

Hectic week

It's been a hectic week for Mummy. The whole house is in a mess n very dusty cos of the reno works. Finally get some peace today after completion of the wet works. Waiting for the carpentry items to be ready next weekend and will be busy packing the items again. Can't wait for it to be over soon. Good thing the works at the condo's completed and keys handed over.

Back to the kids... Caden went over to 99's place on Wed morning. He's a good boy now, behaving himself whenever Mummy drives him around. Brandon was good too, so treated him to Frolic yoghurt after his phonics class on Wed. Mummy had my latte at Ice3 while waiting for Alicia. She requested pandan chiffon from Bengawan Solo, so bot the whole cake after her class. Daddy joined us after his work and Alicia had supper!

Fri to Sun

Friday - Brought the kids to catch the Carlsberg roadshow's lion dance at Tampines. Headed to Tampines Mall for dinner, followed by arcade!!

Saturday - Went J8 for dinner, followed by kiddy rides n grocery shopping.

Mini reno

Seems like everyone's doing some reno here & there for their house cos CNY is approaching. We're also doing some mino reno at our home. Mummy's dead beat from all the shifting & springcleaning. In addition, I'm also over-seeing the rectification works to the condo.

Bought some items from Sim Siang Choon last week. Today, Alicia & Brandon followed Mummy & Er-gu to Ikea Tampines to shop for more items outstanding. We bought so many things!!! Am looking forward to the change to the house. Sure hope the kids would love it.

Supper on Wednesdays?

Seems like Alicia & Brandon assumed Wednesdays would be supper days. Daddy let Brandon follow us again last evening when we sent Alicia for her phonics, as he took his afternoon nap. We went MacDonald's but Brandon kept asking to go Ice3 for waffle. When we picked Alicia up after her class, she asked for waffle too!

Alicia's best friend visits

Yes... Nadja dropped by our place yesterday at about 4.30pm. Alicia who was already awake from her afternoon nap, was super happy. She stayed at our place to play. When I wanted to send her home at 6.10pm cos I had to prepare Alicia for her evening class, she was relunctant. Promised them we'll let them meet up again to play.

And when Mummy me tot having 2 girls would be great, I could jus be wrong! These 2 girls were so rugged and behaved like boys when they play outdoor!

Sit car car

Had planned to bring the kids to Sembawang Shopping Centre for water play after Alicia's art class on Sunday. However, as it was too late after some delay, we met Xiao-gu & Ah Ma at Northpoint for dinner instead. When Caden reached the shopping centre, he said "I want to sit Barney car car." Do all shopping complexes have kiddy rides? Of course he got what he wanted. Daddy brought them in search for kiddy rides! When Caden saw his Barney car car, he was so excited that he kept dancing!

Alicia dreamt few days ago that she played with water. When asked, she said "dunno Sembawang or 'old' zoo". 'Old' zoo cos the last few times that we went, we din bring them to the Kidzworld. So, off we headed to the zoo with Xiao-gu & Er-gu on Saturday!

Alicia and Brandon attended their Phonics class again yesterday. While Brandon was attending his session in the afternoon, Mummy went grocery-shopping. In the evening, Daddy let Brandon follow us. While we were waiting for Alicia, we had waffle ice-cream and milkshake at Ice3. We ate slowly, so that Alicia could have some too after her class ends. Aye... what happened to Mummy's peaceful 1 hour coffee-break???

Mummy's back to school

Mummy's nightmare has started... The kids now has homework and review! Eww!!! The teachers said that there'll be at least 2 days of homework per week. In addition, we have to review what they have learnt in school daily. In addition, they also have phonics homework and review. Back to school for Mummy le...

Alicia & Brandon were doing their work yesterday. Caden insisted on drawing too, so gave him a piece of paper and color pencils. Check out what he has done!?! He scribbled on the table and was laughing all the way!!! Argh!!!

Question - why do I have the time to blog at this hour? Cos jie-jie & gor-gor are in school and Caden's still sleeping!! He refused to wake up and is still lying on his bed! He's learnt to 赖床. Is this good or bad?

Alicia's Best Friend

Ding-dong... the doorbell rang on Monday afternoon while the kids were napping. It's Alicia's best friend from childcare, Nadja! Her Mummy has brought her here to deliver a present for Alicia. Mus b cos Mummy also gave her a present on Alicia's last day of school. She was so eager to play with Alicia, but too bad... Promised her I'll bring Alicia to her place one of these days to play.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

It's Daddy's birthday tomorrow, but we celebrated it in advance this year. Daddy & Mummy went part-tor on Sunday, and we cut cake today. Er-gu and Xiao-gu ordered a special cake for Daddy and everyone was amused.

Immediately after I took one photo, the cake was destroyed by Caden! He dipped his hand into the cake. Minutes later, Brandon followed, by biting off a corner of the cream. Alicia was so sad and angry!

Segway at T3

Went to Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe at Heartland Mall for brunch on Saturday. Wow... my kids were like so hungry?!? They had toast, half-boiled eggs, noodles, horlicks... Shopped for a while before heading to the condo for a swim. As usual, the kids played. For the first time, Mummy got to swim... but for 2 laps only. : ) They soaked in the bath tub after their shower before taking a good afternoon nap.

Initially intended to go for shopping at Orchard, but last minute, we changed our mind and headed to T3 for dinner instead. By the time we went there, it was almost half past 8. So late.. and yet so many people queuing for dinner? Do Singaporeans eat late? Again, we had our meal at Xin Wang.

We saw a standee promoting the Segway and decided to give it a try. $5 for 2 rounds and we could get 3 tickets cos we spent more than $20 at T3. The cashier insisted Brandon was too short and refused to let him have a go. He was sobbing and whining. Daddy suggested letting him try on the helmet and that brightened his face. The girl before Daddy & Alicia was also very young. So, Mummy asked the guy who was monitoring the situation if Brandon could play too. His reply, "If u dun mind the long queue, ok." Haa... Daddy & Alicia are next in queue! The happy Mummy rushed to the cashier and told him we're getting another ticket, and rushed back to the queue again. But, he told us to wait till Alicia's back. Well, better than nothing. Brandon was super happy! As for Caden, sorry... there's no way I can persuade them to let him play! He was also whining... : (

O... it's so noisy!!! They opened one of the Christmas pressies and formed their own band. Anyone can tell who's the happiest of all?

Last evening, he got a bite on the right hand from gor-gor cos he snatched his toy. It's so deep that you can still see it today. Do all boys behave like this?

Books & Ice-cream

After school yesterday, Mummy brought the kids to 99's place. While they were having their afternoon nap, Mummy me went for my regular pedicure and some groceries shopping. Then, rushed back to bring Alicia & Brandon to the Tampines library. We managed to take 2 photos... : ) Read few books and borrowed few home too. Couldn't find The Matchstick Girl, a story I've been wanting to read to the kids. Shall try again next time.

It was drizzling when we were about to leave. Hence, we took the long way, walking thru Tampines One. On the way, brought a plain waffle for them to share. HSBC was giving out free ice-cream at T1. The uncle was very nice and gave 2 when he saw my kids. So, they got to eat ice-cream!!

1st Phonics Class

Alicia and Brandon seemed to be doing well in school. For the past 3 days, the 1st thing that Brandon told me when I fetch them would be, "Mummy, today I eat so-and-so." Food is so important to him. When asked, both told me they like the new school. Great! Tomorrow is the official 1st day, after 3 days of orientation.

Today, they also started their 1st Phonics class. Brandon attended his in the afternoon. I mus say it's money well spent cos he's the only student for the afternoon slot! Teacher Sam is a very patient and nice guy (o... and handsome too). I was allowed to sit in for about 15mins and am amazed at how Brandon responds to him. He's much better than I have expected. The teacher kept praising him. Great job, my boy!!!

Alicia attended the evening session. There are 3 students for her time slot. She's very excited to attend the class and was super-hyper since 6pm.

Mummy me waited for them for an hour each. In the afternoon, I ran errands - went to bank, ordered bak kwa, found out more about a Speech & Drama class, etc. In the evening, I relaxed at Ice3, sipping a cup of latte. How nice... Shall make it a weekly relaxed 3/4 hour for myself.

Day 1 in new school

Alicia and Brandon attended the new school today. It's orientation and hence, they would only be in school from 8.15am to 9.45am for the 1st 3 days. It wasn't difficult to wake them up this morning at 7am maybe cos they were excited. My children were good - they din cry. Phew! I was afraid Brandon would fear going to the new school. Seems ok...

It's art & craft day on Monday, so they played with the new Dora Play-doh set after school.

I'm not sure why, but something odd happened to Brandon today. He wet himself 4 times so far, luckily it's at home. When I asked him, he said cos he's still a small boy and requested to put on diapers! Is it cos of the whole bottle of water that he drank in school? Or is it a sympton of fear? Or is it jus an environment change? Shall see...

Jovan's First Birthday

It's Jovan's 1st birthday today and they had a celebration at Aloha Loyang today. On our way there in the afternoon, our car met with an accident. Daddy's car was hit on the bumper while we were at a standstill, waiting to make a left turn. Sigh... heartache cos car less than 6 months old. What a way to start the new year.

Anyway, the kids enjoyed themselves very much.

They cycled... and yes, Alicia and Brandon were quite good as 1st timers. Mummy promise to try to bring u cycling more often. The adults also rode on the kids' bicycle!!!
