USS with Cousin Val

As a form of our barter, we brought Cousin Val to Universal Studios on Saturday. The weather was perfect!! The kids sure had a great time with her & Darrell gor-gor, especially Alicia who kept sticking to him. Each time they wanted to pose for a photo, Alicia would run to them and become the 'lightbulb'. We played from 9.50am till 4.30pm. Left cos the kids were tired and Cousin Val continued exploring other attractions.

Not sure if Caden was tired or jus not in the mood for photos... he was comfortable sitting in the stroller most of the time.

We went to Festive Grand to redeeem our Voyage de la Vie tickets and saw these beautiful drawings by kids, in celebration of National Day, at The Forum.

Happy Birthday Er-gu

We celebrated Er-gu's birthday on Thursday. Mummy brought Caden to order the cake on Tues after his music class. When I asked what cake he wants, he chose Toy Story design. Then, when I asked him what I should write on the cake, he said, "Happy Birthday Tan Bee Bee lah!" Haa... that's the nickname he gave her. Mummy really requested the aunty to do that lor. I told Caden not to tell Er-gu that we ordered a cake for her but to give her a surprise on Thursday. The moment he reached home, he shouted, "SURPRISE!!!" Luckily Er-gu blur blur din ask much.

Er-gu with her nieces & nephews

Brandon & Caden were snatching to cut the cake. The cake turned out awful cos each of the kids wanted a different picture!

Who wants to be a fireman?

All of them... Brandon, Caden, Cyndi & Cheryl. Ya... the 2 cousins have been staying at our place since early August. Ah Ma is helping to look after them cos San-gu needs to undergo another op again. She's resting well at home now and will soon be able to "take back" her kids! It's no joke having 5 kids at home - ages 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Ah Ma is all so tired out that her blood pressure keeps shooting up.

Hyper kids

We went to Marina Square to book for our Sep hols last weekend. Brought Cousin Cyndi along as Er-gu followed us. Aiyo... such a big difference between her and our kids. She seldom goes out and hence is very well behaved. My kids were jus so hyper-active!!! Daddy said we should keep them at home from now till our holiday so that they will behave themselves on our trip. Can meh???

Haircut

The whole family went for a haircut last Sunday. Reasons - other than it being a monthly affair, it's also cos Alicia & Brandon were to take their class photos on Friday. Ta-da... my 2 cheeky boys.

USS at Nite

Daddy wanted to bring the kids to Universal Studios to watch the fireworks after our trip there. So, we brought them there on Friday, the 13th! We had our dinner at China Bistro before making our way to get a seat for the fireworks!
At home, getting ready to go! Mummy loves the tee I bought for Caden from Comme @ Hokkaido. Smart!!

Making funny faces while waiting for their food.

Daddy was so amused by the centre pix. He said it looked like Alicia was smelling her armpit & Caden giving the chou chou expression...

Photos taken by the kids

99's Birthday

We celebrated 99's birthday at Wah Lok @ Carlton on the Sunday before her birthday. Went Takashimaya shopping after that. Only realised the daughters din take photos with our Mummy when I looked at these photos. Only the grandchildren took photos with her!
On the actual day, we also went over to wish her and had dinner at Swensens @ Tampines Mall. They made 99 bring them to Toys R Us and the arcade. In the end, 99 asked them, "Is it my birthday or your birthday??" Haaa...

Happy Birthday to my Mummy dearest, the kids' 99!!

NDP 2010

Yes!!! We got tickets to the NDP 2010, but only 2. All thanks to Cousin Val for giving up (or rather exchanging for USS tix) to Brandon. Daddy sent us to Fullerton Hotel and we were lucky there's no traffic jam and our entrance was nearby. Brandon was so excited over it. However, at 7+, after the highlights were over, he said, "Mummy, we can go home now." I explained to him that there'll be the fireworks and the pledge later and he was good to continue with the performance.

The NDP was good. The only complaint I have is - the giveaway bag was too heavy!!! I had to carry 3 bags, including my own, all the way!

Warming up for Kids Dash

Daddy signed the kids up for the StanChart Kids Dash in Dec. So, we have to start warming the kids up and get them prepared. Off they went one morning...

Tourists for 2 days

Daddy's friends came from overseas and we played host for 2 days last week. Our plan was to bring them to the Universal Studios, but the tickets were fully sold out cos of the long weekend. So, we went to Singapore Flyer instead. After lunch at the Seafood Paradise, we decided to take a peep at the SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands (MBS). We all felt that it's more worthwhile to spend the $ on the SkyPark rather than the Flyer. The view was fantastic! We also brought them to Mount Faber for the Sky Dining @ the new Jewel Cabin, before heading to USS @ Hollywood Boulevard for the fireworks!

We've been tourists for 2 days, all thanks to them. Without their visit, I doubt we'll try out the cable car ride cum dining and the SkyPark in the near future.
Caden's 1st visit to the Singapore Flyer and our 2nd

SkyPark at MBS

SkyDining - 3 rounds between Mount Faber & Sentosa, from bright to dark.

National Day celebration in school

Alicia & Brandon celebrated National Day in school on Friday. As usual, they had to don national colors. Pix of them before they left for school in the morning.
