HK Trip 2010 - Ocean Park

We also visited Ocean Park so that Caden could see the Panda bears. It was a disappointment cos there was only 1 panda at the enclosure, and he was sleeping with his bum facing us!! Caden was still asking Mummy me last nite, "I tot we're going to see the panda?" Even the panda mascots din come out to take photos that day. Only the Croc did. Luckily, he enjoyed the dolphins and sea lions shows which we watched under the hot sun. Alicia & Brandon refused to take the Raging Water ride with Daddy again... : )

HK Trip 2010 - Madame Tussaud

We went to Victoria Peak and visited Mdm Tussaud's Museum. Took photos with the various stars, including striking few funny poses. This was followed by a stroll along Avenue of Stars.

HK Trip 2010 - Disneyland

Disneyland - the place the kids have been waiting for! We stayed in Disney Hollywood Hotel for a nite and were given 2-day passes. However, we din "chiong" and did not complete the whole place cos Alicia was still not feeling well. Thumbs up for the service at the hotel - we were required to check out by 11am but the pick-up to our next destination was at 3.30pm. We checked out before we left for Disneyland at 10am and left our luggage at the hotel. Everyone was sweaty after returning to the hotel at 2.30pm. I checked with the concierge for a place to freshen up and he arranged a hospitality room for us. We felt so good after a shower & change.

Alicia was disappointed as she did not get to take photos with any of the Disney princesses. The timing jus wasn't rite. Well, next time... Overall, the kids enjoyed themselves.

HK Trip 2010 - Caden's 1st Flight

The family went for our holidays to Hong Kong from 8-12 Sep 2010. Knowing that we can't manage the 3 kids, we brought 99 along. Er-gu was supposed to travel with us on this trip too, but alas... something dramatic happened. She couldn't find her passport & boarding pass when we were about to board the plane. So, she couldn't board the plane with us. We realised later that she found the passport in the 'secret compartment' in her bag when she reached home! This was her shortest overseas trip, she said. What a joke!!!
It was Caden's 1st time on an aeroplane. This boy ah... before the plane took flight, he fell asleep! Jus like what happened the day before - Daddy brought him to watch Cats & Dogs movie and he fell asleep before the movie started! Well, he did wake up half an hour after the flight took off and was so chatty thru-out. It was Alicia who fell asleep during the flight.

Fever go away!!!

When we reached home on Sunday evening, Alicia was running a fever! 39.6 degree celsius!! Quickly administered medication after giving her a shower and put her to sleep. The temperature went up to 40 at 6am. Up & down it went in the day... We brought her to see Dr Leong in the afternoon. Mummy jus gave her another dose of neurofen cos her temperature was at 38.8. Hopefully, she can recover by tomorrow cos we're flying off to Hong Kong on Wednesday! Get well soon, my darling.

Baby Kane

Daddy's childhood friend has a newborn. We visited him on Sunday at their Bishan home. Daddy only brought Caden along as he felt that Alicia & Brandon were very playful and din listen to him. After visiting Baby Kane, we went to Bishan J8 for dinner. Caden played on his favourite Barney car car before we headed home.

Lanterns

Alicia drew lanterns for the Mid-Autumn Festival during her art class on Sunday. Feels that the drawing is so messy...

Phonics Update

Alicia & Brandon have successfully completed their Phonics for the term and would be promoted to the next level for the next term. Mummy was initially hesitant in letting Brandon continue with the Intermediate class as I felt he wasn't ready. But towards the last few lessons, he seemed to be able to grasp the teacher's teachings very well. I did up flash cards to test him and he was very good at them. Good job, my boy! Even the teacher praised him.

Ah Ma's Birthday Dinner

As we'll be away on Sep 11, which is Ah Ma's birthday, we celebrated it for her a week in advance. We had dinner at Imperial Herbal @ VivoCity on Saturday. I love their egg white with scallop and yam & sweet potato dessert. Hmm... but this time round, all other food don't seem great.

We had planned to let Ah Ma watch the fireworks by USS at the rooftop at 10pm but she left earlier with Cheryl who was running a fever. We stayed on and the kids played at the playground. Daddy let them play the motor-cars. We heard fireworks but had thought it was for another event. By the time we went up, we din see any by 10.05pm. Mummy checked the USS website and realised they had changed the timing to 9.30pm!!! Too bad!!

Cot

The cot was placed in a corner of the hall for Cheryl's use. But Oops!!! Why do you see Caden in there instead? He was placed into the cot by Daddy when he was naughty. Now, that's useful...
