Voyage de La Vie

We received complimentary tickets to the Voyage de La Vie show on Thursday evening. It was so close-up cos we were seated on the 3rd row. Had expected Caden to fall asleep immediately when the show started but he was able to watch through almost 3/4 of the show. He kept saying, "but haven't finished leh..." when I asked him to sleep. Was also afraid that Alicia & Brandon would doze off as they din take their afternoon nap cos of their school concert. They enjoyed the show so much that they were still talking about it after the show. Think we'll bring them again, if there's more complimentary tickets... : )

Year-end Concert

Alicia & Brandon performed at their year-end concert cum K2 graduation yesterday. Well, all kids performed.

All ready to go - Mummy put on light make-up for them at home.
Alicia performed Stephanie Sun's Green Light. Both Daddy & Mummy felt that she danced very well. Brandon performed a Hallelujah song and dance. We think he did very well too. Great Job!!
Kids after their performance - note the thicker make-up by the teachers

I Light Marina Bay

Err... what lights? We were very disappointed with the so-called beautiful lights @ Marina Bay. Brought the kids there on Sunday and all we saw were the jelli-lights n red tiger. Nothing else. Instead, the kids were happier when we brought them to Marina Square playground.

Cruise on Superstar Virgo

We went on a cruise on Superstar Virgo from 20-22 Oct with 99, Ah Ma and Xiao-gu. Together on the cruise were Yi-po's family, including Cousins Sharlyn and Jovan. It's Alicia's 3rd on the cruise, Brandon's 2nd and Caden's 1st. I think Alicia enjoyed herself the most cos she has a play partner. By the end of the cruise, she din want to go home, citing that she had not played enuf with Sharlyn!

Home sweet home... Now, Daddy & Mummy are looking forward to our next trip in Nov, without the kids... : )

Potty training

I know it's long overdue... but, we've jus started Caden on potty training. I've been trying to get him not to wear diapers during the day but to no avail. Dr said to wait till he's ready. So, Mummy me let him be.

Few days ago, I jus told him he's a big boy and shouldn't be wearing diapers anymore. Told him to tell me when he wants to pee. I was all ready for accidents to happen. However, my darling was so smart. The whole day, he could tell me whenever he wants to pee. To reward him, he was given a little sweet or gummy each time. Great job, Caden!! But... was happy too early. In the evening, he had 2 accidents. All's well so far. Hope this boy is really grown up now.
He found this pair of specs and made me take photos for him..

Ice cream treats

The weather's so hot recently that we've been giving the kids ice-cream treats. Jus realised that we keep missing Caden out. But he got the treats too when we had them at home - mini cornettos & oreo milkshake!
Sharing a Mac ice-cream cone

Marble Slab Creamery. Not shiok enuf, we headed to Swensens immediately after that!
Kiddy rides with Daddy while Mummy popped into a shop

Back to swimming

After a good 3 months break, the kids are back to their swimming lessons on Saturdays. They're progressing very slowly, mainly cos they're afraid of water. To me, it's a very big achievement that they can now dip their head into the water when the coach asked them to do so. They're now learning to swim with the board. Hopefully, we'll see bigger improvements in the next 2 months. Good job, my kids!!

Going to School

My darling Caden has been saying NO whenever we asked him if he wants to attend school. However, after much psycho from Daddy, he's been saying YES to us recently. I'm praying hard cos he's gonna attend the orientation in Nov for his pre-nursery for next Jan.

He could also sit down with me and do his activity books properly. He loves coloring - but messily. Mummy brought him to the neighbourhood for the cheapo kiddy ride the other day when he was such a good boy.

New Extra-Curricular Activities

From October 2010, Alicia took up 2 new ECAs - ballet & music (keyboard). She was so excited that she couldn't sleep the nite before. 2 more ECAs added - additional joy for her. Was afraid that she would be tired, but she's enjoying and loving them so far. Good for her... but tiring for Mummy & Daddy.

Posing on her 1st lesson

My ballerina has finally fulfilled her dreams - trying out her new outfit. Mummy din like the chiffon tutu so was searching high and low for a pong pong tutu for her. Was so happy when I saw it at Mini Princess, but the XL was too tight for her!!! Anyone know where I can find bigger sizes?

Water Play @ SSC

Brought the kids to Sembawang Shopping Centre for dinner, a treat from San-gu zang, on 17 Oct, Sunday. How could they miss the water play??? Caden was a little hesitant, but Alicia & Brandon enjoyed themselves so much.

Slide @ Airport

We went to Changi Airport T3 for dinner on 15 Oct, Friday. Passed by the Slide and the kids were all excited over it. Brandon din meet the minimum height but the jie-jie still let him play. However, poor Caden jus can't make it. So, he played at the playground instead. Alicia & Brandon couldn't stop playing. They even wanted to play at the higher slide but failed the minimum height and were refused entry. They'll go again, definitely.

We're on Mother & Baby Magazine!

East Coast Park

We went cycling and playing at the beach on 9 Oct, Sat, before having dinner at Long Beach. The weather was fantastic - not too hot! I'm glad the kids enjoyed themselves very much!

Dinner that led to...

We had dinner with 99, Da-yi and the rest at a Bedok restaurant on a Sunday evening. Had a $588 set meal for 10. Aiyo... Daddy had diarrhoea for 2 days. We only realised that 99, Small-yi, Simon & Valarie vomitted and had diarrhoea for 2 days after we called each other on Wednesday. On that evening itself, we read from the Chinese papers that a group of people complained of food poisoning at the same restaurant. I called that nite to complain. The next day, the restaurant manager visited 99's house and offered $400 cash plus 4 boxes of birds' nest as compensation. Luckily it was jus a case of mild food poisoning, which NEA was still investigating. And it was even luckier that the kids were not affected cos they ate more of the fried rice rather than the rest of the dishes.
