Wet wet wet

It's our 2nd time at VivoCity, within a week. Just last Friday, Daddy and Mummy were there to watch Indiana Jones, with compliments from Standard Chartered Bank. Today, it's The Chronicles of Narnia, Prince Caspian, with compliments from OCBC.

As it's a Saturday, everyone was there with us. Alicia followed Daddy, Da-gu, Cousins Denise and Shermaine into the theatre - to try out watching a movie. She stayed on longer than I expected - almost an hour. Other than the usual shopping and dinner, the kids played at the open deck pool. Oh, they really loved that!

Brandon enjoyed himself at Toys 'R Us - playing with the toys and instruments.

Caden was also so happy - talking to the stuff toys!

Alicia was initially afraid to play in the open deck pool.

Brandon loves playing with water so much. He took off his pants half-way!

Once settled down, they refused to leave the place!!!

Luckily Mummy brought extra set of clothings to change.

Safety 1st

All the hoo-ha about car seats and seat belts now.  Always made sure Caden is belted up whenever in daddy's car.  Must try to make it a habit for Alicia and Brandon too.

I want to bao bao too!

Told Alicia Brandon carried Caden to take pictures.  She wants too.

Brandon was telling mummy that he wants to bao bao (carry) Caden.  I let him hug him. Afterwhich he said, "Mummy take photo for me."  Hee.... too much photo-taking by mummy that he knows what I'll ask next!

Went to the airport to pick daddy and small-yi (same flight) last nite.

Small-yi came out 1st - they were playing with her luggage.

Alicia and Brandon have been playing with the light sticks since watching the show.  Brandon has also been singing the songs again and again.  He's now very good at singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - full song with the correct lyrics!

The battery of the light stick had gone flat.

Dora the Explorer

After more than a month's wait, the Dora The Explorer show is finally here! The kids were so excited for the past few days as mummy has been reminding them to behave themselves.

We met up with Aunty Wendy and Kayla at Singapore Expo Hall 2. There were quite many empty seats still not taken.

Not too bad a show, I must say. Just that daddy highlighted that the Dora in the show should be someone plumper, like mummy! :-p

Daddy bought each kid a light @ $12. The kids were also given a flag each upon entry - it's for the Pirate dance.

Booster seats were avaiable, and the kids played with them during the 15 mins interval.

2 girls in the Tan Family

The 1st BP which I got for Alicia finally arrived today. She was very happy when trying on the dresses. Little brother Brandon didn't want to lose out either. He insisted on trying on too!

I realised that she hasn't combed her hair yet after the shower after I saw this picture!

See? Alicia got herself a sister!!!

Alicia's teacher-meet-parent session

Today is the half-yearly teacher-meet-parent session for Alicia.

Not bad... the 2 teachers commented that she has shown improvements. She's able to communicate well, is able to grasp teachers' instructions well and is very interested in arts & craft and singing. She's very independent and seems to show some leadership skills.

However, 1 comment from both teachers is not too good - stubborn. Sometimes, when asked to do things which she doesn't want, her butt just won't move!

We'll see how she performs in the next half year. Keep up the good work, Alicia!

Alicia loves coloring. However, she usually uses just 1 color. I'm glad to see that she's using the appropriate colors for the picture now.

On leave

To the fans of Dr EK Ong

Please note that Dr Ong is on leave for the whole of next week.  Pls do not fall sick during this period.

Yes, my 3 little darlings, I'm referring to you.

No jab again

Caden's due for his 3rd month jab.  However, he coughed quite a fair bit last night and still has lots of phlegm.  99 was saying he's afraid of jabs, and hence fall sick each time he's due for it.

Went to Dr Ong as scheduled.  Hmmm... now I know, visit him on Thur afternoons - not so crowded.  My poor boy!  He had to do that procedure to get out the phlegm.  Cried so badly while the nurse inserted the tube into his nose.  I felt so heartache.  Once over, I could see the relaxed face.  Phew!  Felt so relieved for him.  Hope he gets well soon.

Yippee!!!  Feels better now.

Roll over

Alicia and Brandon wanted to sleep on our bed last night.  They can't sleep together, side by side.  Daddy would be home late.  Hence, mummy slept in the centre and placed 2 big bolsters by the sides.  Alicia slept on my right and Brandon slept on my left.

I had intended to place Brandon in his bed after both fell asleep.  Alas, I fell into deep sleep with them.  At about 1am, I was awakened by a loud thud.  Brandon had rolled over the bed!  The "iron head" just gave me a blur look.  I quickly carried him and looked for any bumps on his head.  Nothing... put him back on his bed.

Daddy came up and asked what dropped.  Wah!  U mean it was so loud that he could even hear from downstairs?  But, the boy didn't even feel any pain!  Maybe, the bolster softened the fall. Oops...

He looks fine today.  Even went to get a pair of chopsticks and played "drums".

Collision

Jus when Alicia was in a good mood for photos last nite, this has to happen.  They were playing happily with Daddy in the room when Alicia and Brandon had a collision.  De ba bomp...  They crashed into each other face to face.

Cranky Alicia

Alicia's been cranky these few days. Whatever or whenever it doesn't go her way, she'll just cry or scream.

I asked her and this is her reply -

"Daddy, Mummy don't sayang Alicia. Mummy only sayang Caden. Carry and carry Caden. Daddy sayang Brandon."

Oh my!!! Alicia, you are Daddy and Mummy's girl, u know?

I tried explaining to her. We have also been trying very hard to make her feel loved. Hope the emphasis and the things we did helped.

Let's see the progress in a week's time.

Height Chart

Mummy received a Giraffe Height Chart from Fisher Price today. OK, shall monitor the kids' height more frequently from now on.

VCDs

We're catching the Dora show this Sunday at Singapore Expo. Hence, the kids have been watching Dora VCDs over the weekend.

Today, Brandon wanted to watch the Barney VCD instead. OK, since we're catching Barney Live at Suntec City on 8 Jun. Can't wait...

When the show ended, he just grabbed the nearest stuff toy and gave it a big hug.

Vain Pot

I'm referring to Brandon, not Alicia. He opened mummy's bag and took out my sunglasses.

Disney, Naturally

Went to Anchorpoint's Disney Naturally to take a look. Had intended to have dinner there, but too bad - place is too small and they only serve snacks like waffle and pizza. A disappointment... worse, Ikea's restaurant is under renovation too. We ended up having dinner at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cha Chan Ting.

They had plasma TV for movie screening.

The only good thing -  a little corner for candies, stuff toys, etc.

Got some candies for the kids, but not cheap lor.
