Domokun Gar-gar

Valarie jie-jie has a pair of Domokun slippers which Caden feared. He'll say - gar-gar. As he had a habit of playing with the speaker in front of the TV, 99 will place a slipper on it whenever he starts touching it. He'll quickly walk away from the speaker.

Today, when we were watching TV, Caden took the slipper from the floor and placed it on the speaker himself! Aiya!!! He's no longer afraid of the gar-gar...

Happy 3rd Birthday, Brandon!

It was Brandon's birthday yesterday. Tot we had already had a pre-celebration for him on Sunday? He had not 1, or 2, but 3 more celebrations!!!

It was a happy day - he woke up with birthday songs and wishes from the family. Celebrated in school with his friends, with his chosen Fire Engine cake. Had another birthday cake in the evening to celebrate Da-Gu's birthday as well. Happy Birthday Da-gu (29 Apr)! Daddy suggested we visit 99 to let her see her fav grandson. We ended up at Swensen's TM with 99 & Da-yi.

Before going to bed, Brandon told me, "Mummy, I have 4 birthday cakes. Jie-jie only has 2 hor?" Alicia quickly said to me, "Mummy, I want 5 birthday cakes!" Gosh! Kids...

In school...

At home, with Da-gu...

Pre-birthday Celebration

We celebrated Brandon's birthday in advance on Sunday when everyone was around. Aiyo, even before we sang the birthday song, the cake got a big hole! First, it was Caden who slapped his hand on the cake. Then, it was Brandon who dug a hole. Alicia followed by taking an oreo off!

Well, as long as they are happy. Thanks all for the pressies and ang-baos! Even Alicia received a watch from Cousin Valarie!

Now, looking forward to his celebration in school tomorrow.

Up close with the animals

Sunday - we woke up early in the morning and headed to the zoo!!! This time, we were up, close and personal with the animals. We walked for a while, instead of taking the tram straight from the 1st station. Alicia was so disgusted with the smell of the deer (we think) that she nearly puked! Daddy said, like Mummy, like daughter.

We saw the zebra, deers, rhino, girrafe, chimpanzee, orang-utans, flamingo, otters, etc. Also managed to catch 2 of the animal shows, before heading to the Rainforest Kidzworld. Too bad the sky turned dark, and we quickly rushed off.

Caden was most excited, I guess. He enjoyed himself, especially during the animal shows. When Xiao-Gu accidentally blocked his view, he pushed her away! He missed his morning nap and automatically layed down when we were on the tram. When we were in the car ride home, he slept almost immediately and slept thru' for another 2-3 hrs after we reached home.

Singapore Zoo - We'll be back...

Say cheeze

Caden has this habit of slanting his head when you ask him to say "cheeze" now.

Gai Gai O...

Caden said this morning, "gai gai o...". Off we went to Ikea Tampines.

This naughty boy told me "ng ng" when I wanted to carry him off his stroller at the kids zone. When I checked, he really poo-ed!!! Sigh... gotta change for him.

He was making friends when he was supposed to be playing...
He was fast asleep, before we reached the cashier.

Really Mini

The mini cycle is really very mini. After Mummy me assembled the new toy, realised that the size is just nice for Caden. Look at how the 2 big kids sitting on it. They still prefer their other old Little Tikes tricycle.

Caden was very excited initially, refusing to budge from the mini cycle. But when Mummy me wanted him to pose for pictures, he refused to get on it!!!

New toys

Mummy me went to claim the mini cycle plus redeem the Big Rockers Keyboard from Huggies.I love that place - Aprisin @ Upper Thomson. It's a shopfront for Little Tikes & Graco barang. So tempted to get another toy car for the kids, but Da-yi stopped me.

We need air-con!!!

Sunday - The weather is killing!!! Initially, planned to bring kids to the zoo early in the morning. But, alamak! had to cancel it cos it's too hot!!! Brought the kids to Bishan for dinner & library for some free air-con.

Kiddy ride @ J8

Alicia & Brandon chose their own books to read

Caden reading - like real only

Clarke Quay

Saturday evening - Went to Liang Court for dinner and shopping at the Meidi-ya Supermart. Disappointed, cos nothing much. Took a stroll along Clarke Quay. Stopped by the Turkish ice-cream stall and let Brandon buy ice-cream. Watch this...

The ice-cream man repeated the same acts for every customer. Some kids got so angry they refused to take the ice-cream from him!!! Great entertainment, but awful ice-cream.

We saw the Extreme Swing from our resting point. Hence, brought Brandon and Alicia nearer to see. They were telling Daddy & Mummy on the way - Daddy, Mummy, I don't want to sit. So scared stiff!

It was so hot that we ended up chilling out at TCC before heading home.

Animal Sand Art

Saturday am - Nothing much to do, so let the kids play with sand art when Caden was having his morning nap. Glad I chose a simple one for Brandon. Had to remove so many small stickers for Alicia's girrafe!

2 Boys at Play

Brandon's coughing slightly, hence, din let him go school today. Caden and him are so good brothers... having so much fun when bathing, changing and preparing to take their afternoon nap.

I love Huggies!

Mummy me have really became an Aunty after being a mum. Will participate in lucky draws and redemption programmes. This time round, sent in a lucky draw form for $30 purchase of Huggies diapers from NTUC. Mummy was so happy when I received a letter from Kimberly Clark yesterday. I won a Little Tikes mini tricycle!!! Jus when I recently complained of too many toys... But WTH! it's free!!!

Mama

Each time I hear Caden calls me Mama, I'd be reminded of La Bi Xiao Xing. He really sounds like him!!! Brandon said, "Caden calls Daddy - english, Mama - chinese."

This little rascal is picking up things very fast. When he wants you to read him a book, he'll pass the book to you and either sit on your lap or in front of you. Then he'll say "Ehh.. erhh.."

Few new words he picked up - Thank you, Rabbit, Frog, Duck, Moo (representing cow), Shoes, Touch, Gai-gai, Nite-nite. He's learning to say "Please". Each time he does it, the tongue will stick out.

For 200m

The kids would usually play with their toys or scooter skates while waiting for me to come down from my room to bring them to school. This morning, they were all ready in Daddy's car. Daddy said they guai guai got in the car and squeezed into the front seat holding hands. It's such a nice feeling to see them so loving, giggling while we were on our way to school.

The "dangerous" stunt, for about 200m - 1st time Daddy allowed 2 front young passengers

Mixed Up

I was wondering when Alicia grew so much bigger suddenly when I saw the tight-fitting t-shirt she was wearing when I picked her up from school yesterday. But when I saw Brandon, I knew something must have gone wrong somewhere. Aunty Sri had mixed up their school tees by putting them in the wrong school bags! Alicia was wearing Brandon and Brandon Alicia's tee!

Big Rockers Guitar

Mummy redeemed 2 guitars from Huggies with the barcodes from Caden's diapers. It's so fun! Still have another set of barcodes which will be kept till the other toy, a Music mixer is available for redemption.

Check out my 2 rock stars! Too bad I din manage to take a video of my old rocker Daddy who taught them! Wahaaa...

Terminal 3

Sunday - brought the kids to Terminal 3 for dinner. Da, Er & Xiao-gu met us there after their shopping spree @ Expo. They especially loved the playground at B2. Caden, as usual, wanted to walk on his own.

Hi again, Tampines 1

Brought the kids to 99's place today cos kids want to go and Daddy wants to go back office. After their nap, brought them to Tampines 1 walk walk. My god - the queue at UniQlo was horrible! After a light snack at Say Cheese, we jalan a while at basement again before heading home for dinner. Guess, we'll have to come back in a few weeks time if we really want to explore the mall.

Sembawang Splash Park

Daddy wanted to go for a walk on Friday morning. Hence, brought the kdis to the nearby Tai Hwan Terrace Playground to exercise and scooter skates. Regretted cos we were there to feed the hungry mosquitoes instead!

After their nap, we went to Sembawang Splash Park, after going to San-gu's place @ Sembawang. O.. the kids love the place! Alicia needed time to warm up while Brandon played with the water almost immediately. Caden also wanted to join them. Luckily, Mummy remembered to bring extra set of clothes along. They should have a place for kids to wash up after play, preferably with water heater! Hee... Brandon kept saying, "Mummy, I want to go Sembawang again."

Sigh.. my videos are too big, I guess. Took me a long time to upload!

Baby Blues - I love it!

I can't help but smile when I saw the comic strip today. When Alicia learns how to read, I'll try this...

Tampines 1

Daddy & Mummy itchy backside... decided to bring Caden gai-gai @ the newly opened Tampines 1 during Daddy's lunch hour. The crowd was amazing! We thought it won't be crowded since it's a weekday and that not all shops would have opened.

After parking, we went over to Tampines Mall for lunch instead. Only managed to walk-walk at Tampines 1's Basement 1 after our lunch. 99 loved the beautifully packaged fruits @ Cold Storage. Mummy loves the snacks @ Yamakawa Supermart. The rest of the building - to be explored again.

The Art of Communicating with your Child

Daddy attended a MindChamps workshop on "The Art of Communicating with your Child" by David Chiem. Yah.. it's Daddy, not Mummy. He went with his colleague, Uncle Wong. Hee.. it's his responsibility to create a Champion Mindset in his kids.

Mummy brought Alicia & Brandon to HDB Hub for dinner and walk-walk. Yes, MacDonald's and Kiddy Palace. By the time Daddy's workshop was over, the kids were so tired...
