Rain rain go away

I usually don't like the kids to walk in the rain. Today, when it was time to fetch Alicia from school, it was drizzling slightly. Decided to bring an umbrella for her - they jus love raincoats & umbrellas!

She was happily walking & singing on the way home.

Red Eye?

Brandon's right eye was abit red last nite. Mummy me tot it was cos of some rubbing. When he woke up this morning, it was still red. So, guess what? Skip school and go see Uncle Ong again lor. Caden who was scheduled for his MMR jab tmrw followed us today - haa... all becos of gor-gor, he had to take his jab 1 day earlier. Screamed like no-bodies' biz.

Dr Ong said it could either be cos of dirty hands rubbing the eyes or cos of some virus causing the infection. Eye drops would do. Lucky no sore eye...

Damage - $220.
Aqua-doodle coloring again at Dr Ong's clinic, while waiting...

Almost 3 hours of Art Class

Aiyo... Alicia was very slow in her painting today. Maybe cos she's tired? When I fetched her at 4pm, she's jus only started coloring her drawing! I guided and pushed her. Daddy was waiting in the car... Mummy me kept messaging him - give me another 10 mins.. 5 mins... 7 mins... It was almost 50mins, when he replied' "You and your 10 mins, 5 mins!" Oops...

So, why was she she slow? Mr Goh only asked her to draw 2 elephants and a girl. She wanted to add on - the girl holding on to a ball, the clouds, the tree! These were all added when she was coloring. When we were almost done, she said, "Mummy, my hands tired already." However, hands up to her piece of work! Today's theme - Elephants. I love it!!! Jus so nice when we saw them at the zoo yesterday.

Australian Outback - Too Bad...

It was supposed to be an Australian Outback trip to the Zoo. Too bad... The kids wanted to feed the kangaroos cos their friends did so too (as I was told). So, after a hearty breakfast at MacDonald's, we headed to the zoo.

They jus love the moo-moos today - both at the entrance and at the Ah Meng restaurant

Din things go well as planned. Only realised Mummy me forgot to put the SD card back into the camera when I was trying to take photos of the kids at the entrance! Stupid me... so, spent $ to buy a new card (dun tell Daddy - he was parking the car then).

Temp counters set-up near the entrance

Then, we missed the polar bear feeding time. By the time we got there, it was over. So, took the tram to Australian Outback @ Station 4 for the kangaroo feeding. 1st round - saw the usual rhino, zebra, giraffe, etc. We were early, so took photos... Then, the sky began to turn dark. We waited patiently... till it past the feeding time. No one came! Jus few families waiting. 10 mins gone.. and it started to drizzle!!! We had to take shelter. The kids were disappointed... Took the tram ride back to Station 3 for the Widlife Aussies performance at Shaw Foundation Ampitheatre. Round 2 - in addition, saw the lion & lioness. Err... disappointing performance too. Caden stole a quick nap.

Went to the Splash Ampitheatre to watch the penguins and manatee. Decided to have our lunch at Ah Meng's restaurant. It was elephants ride time and the kids jus watched. Caden love it.

See one of Brandon's pix? He always smile till can't see the eyes. We asked him to open his eyes and this was what happened...
Then, we took the tram again to Rainforest Kidzworld @ Station 2. Round 3 - in addition, saw leopard. The weather was great for a splash - not too sunny. After shower, took the tram and headed back to exit. Caden fell asleep on the way. The tram $ was worth it today - we took so many rounds.

At the pets corner, they picked up leaves from the floor and fed the goats. So, kangaroo feeding ended up with goats feeding...
1st time - we went home at 4pm! 6 hours of fun, or rather being on the tram. :p

How Tall Are You?

Instead of completing the puzzle blocks, Brandon stacked them up high... and very high indeed. On seeing this, Alicia came over and said, "Brandon, see how tall are you?" The blocks didn't seem high enough. She took a toy and placed it on top. Tah-dah... dat's Brandon's height.

Alicia tried to get more toys to place higher to show her height, too bad... the blocks came falling down.

I can count!

Caden can count from 1 to 10 in English and Mandarin. ^-^ Tried to record it, but jus realised it's above the 100MB size. Shall re-record again...

Hair Band for Who?

Alicia requested to put on a hair band this morning.

On seeing it, Brandon took a strip of paper and put it on his head too!

Durian Head

After dinner, we had a cake, and also durians! They said Brandon's hair looks like the durian shell. So bad...

Art Class No. 4

Teacher kept the painting again, saying he'll pin up in class. : )

Happy Father's Day

We celebrated Father's Day last evening, at home.

Happy family - jus look at the funny poses & faces! Even Caden also tried to follow.
Afternote - the kids' poo are black this morning. Mus b cos of the cake. Ewe!!!

Fun @ Sentosa

Saturday - we had a fun day at Sentosa. See photos enuf le... not-so-brief story below for records purpose only. Hee...

@ Palawan Beach, the southernmost point of the Asia Continent

They jus love the stone & tree here!

Back at the beach, we saw a peacock strolling...

At the Underwater World, Touch Pool & so-on...

Saturday - we woke up early in the morning for a fun day at Sentosa cos Xiao-gu got 8 corporate passes. We drove to Palawan Beach and parked our cars there. The weather was great for a start. Alicia refused to step on the sand in her sandals, so changed the kids into slippers. Brandon kept playing with the sand. Really 2 different kids. We dumped all our stuff, except valuable items, into the play tent pitched under a pavillion. Then, went across the bridge to the small island and spent almost an hour jus taking pictures there!!! Alicia was in such a vain mood to pose for pictures.

Then, Daddy, Mummy, Er-gu, Denise & A&B waited for the beach tram to bring us to the Sentosa Skyride & Luge. The rest stayed back at the beach. After alighting the tram and walking for a distance did we realise that it would be too far away. Hence, made a u-turn and returned to Palawan Beach. Saw the Summerfest zone - nothing interesting... worse, a 20mins jump on the very puny inflatable would cost us $5 - Mummy refused to pay. Daddy & Er-gu decided to walk back & bring the rest back to the food court for lunch. We walked slowly... and when we decided to go into the food court for some air-con, we saw Daddy & Er-gu having lunch there!!! We had our lunch also, while the rest came to meet us later.
Had wanted to go for the shows at the Birds & Animal Encounters zone but timing not rite. So, headed towards the Beach Station to get over to Underwater World. Not sure if it's cos of the events or promotions, I never knew Sentosa is so crowded!!! Worse was the bus ride to Dolphin Lagoon. Argh!!!

The weather was killing - instead of continuing our journey at Sentosa, we decided to drive to Vivo for air-con instead! Luckily, our cars were parked jus next to the lagoon.
Cleaned & changed the kids at the Vivo nursery room. Feels good... Denise & Shermaine were too tired to walk, hence, we sat at Earle Swensen's before having an early dinner.

It was supposed to be a dinner to celebrate Father's Day in advance, followed by getting a cake home. Sigh... Alicia had to spoil it. When the 2 aunties brought Alicia & Brandon to walk around after their dinner, Alicia pushed Aunty Yeli and made her fall. She bit her upper lip and bled. Daddy was angry with her and quickly called for the bill to go home. Luckily the doctor said Aunty Yeli was fine. Anyway, Alicia was caned 3 times on her hand. Hope she'll not repeat the same thing again.

Brandon skipped school

Brandon was coughing last nite, so let him skip school today. We went to 99's house after sending Alicia to school.

See him watering the plants for 99

2 naughty boys trying to make 99 carry them

Hair-cut & art class

Sunday - Brandon followed Daddy for a hair-cut in the late morning. When they couldn't reach home in time to send Alicia for her art class, Mummy walked her there.

Brandon's new haircut. Uncle Simon even gel-ed his hair. Daddy said all the jie-jie & aunties at the salon were praising his good behaviour & handsome looks. Even Caden wanted to share the 'glamour' with gor-gor.

Alicia's topic for the day - Mushrooms.

Opera in the Park

Saturday - We had planned for a picnic for a very long time... Finally, went to the Singapore Botanical Gardens for a picnic and to watch the Singapore Lyrics Ochestra's opera.

It was a cloudy evening... Saw the kids in their raincoats? They were well prepared. Hee... Brandon made use of the balloon stick & tried to imitate the conductor. Innovative??? Caden was drowsy, falling asleep... but each time the audience clapped hands, he'll wake up and clap together. Cute!

Towards the end, Caden started to develop a fever. Daddy scolded Mummy... cos we jus brought Brandon & Caden to Dr Ong in the morning cos of their cough. Shouldn't have brought them outdoors. Luckily, his fever subsided after his dose of paracetomol & neurofen at home.

J8 car car

Friday - brought the maid to the Indonesion Embassy to collect her new passport. Brought Caden along. Dropped by Junction 8 on our way back and Caden got to sit car-car...

This naughty boy - let him sit on the stroller, he'll say "bao-bao". Carry him, and he'll say "walk walk". When u let him walk, he'll refuse to hold your hand and jus want to walk around on his own!

Fun for All Under The Stars

What stars??? But well, that's what the newspaper advertisement said. Brought the kids to the Singapore Turf Club for a supposedly fun event last evening. The games stall didn't look fun, the food stall sucks. And the inflatables, aiyo, lucky din let the kids play - it became "lermbeh", ie deflated...

The horse-shoes at the entrance of the Grandstand. Brandon specially chose the army shoes to match with his favourite pants.
Brandon eagerly waiting for his turn to pat the horse...
Queued up to take photos with the horse. Mummy loves the photo taken with Caden cos he smiled so sweetly, except for my messy hair.
Alicia's favourite - getting to see Bugs Bunny & Tweety Bird. Too bad no show, jus shake hands and take photo...

It was so hot & humid that we were all pespiring at the end... Couldn't wait to get to an air-con place for dinner. So, off we went to the AMK Park Mac. Look at Caden's unhappy face when I refused to let him drink apple juice.
