Merry Christmas 2010!

It was a peaceful Christmas Eve as our party was planned for Christmas Day! When the day came, everyone was busy helping out. Other than Daddy's own family, Mummy's frens were also invited for the party. Thanks to all who helped out to make the party a success.

Our spread

Mummy's frens - Aunties Tze Wei, Sherlene & Diana
Their kids - Amanda, Amelia, Ethan & Amelie

Getting 2 or 3 kids to pose for a photo is no problem for me.

But, when it came to getting all 9 kids to pose for a group photo, none of us could manage. More training needed!!!
Alicia & Brandon happily unwrapping their presents. Look at how happy Brandon's face was when he saw the Ben 10 toy from Small-yi. He has been playing it almost every moment since...
Caden was the Ambassador for the nite, busy taking photos with all...
Even Daddy had a big surprise from Da-gu

Few shots taken by them, when Mummy me was busy chatting with frens.

The kids with their presents on Boxing Day. Alicia & Brandon unwrapped all while Caden wasn't even interested in them. He was jus happy singing & dancing the Christmas songs. In the end, Alicia did the unwrapping for him.

Here's wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!!!

Cycling at Pasir Ris Park

24 Dec, Fri: It's Christmas Eve... We went Pasir Ris Park for cycling in the morning. When we reached there, we were so disappointed that the Bicycle Rental Kiosk was closed. Sigh... decided to let the kids play at the playground before we headed to East Coast Park instead.

Hee... after a while, we noticed people cycling with rented bikes. So drove to the kiosk to try our luck. It was jus open! Never knew they open at almost 11am!

Cousin Shermaine & Brandon rented a bike each. Er-gu rented one which could take Caden. Haa... Daddy & Mummy rented the couple bike. It's been such a long time since Mummy rode on one, bum pain!! But, it was a good experience.. : ) Brandon was very slow, so we followed him. Alicia rode so fast with Shermaine & Er-gu that we lost sight of them at one point of time.

We switched around a few times. Daddy took Caden on the pillion bike. Er-gu took Alicia on the couple bike. Brandon cycled Alicia's bike. Caden took Brandon's bike while Mummy pushed him along.

We took our lunch there before heading home, after a 2-hour ride. Tired... the kids had a good afternoon nap.

Ikea

22 Dec, Wed: We brought Caden to Ikea Tampines to get a new table. Alicia stayed at home to play with Cousin Shermaine. After Ikea, we went to 99's place to fetch Brandon, who stayed over the nite before.

Shortest trip to USS

20 Dec, Mon: We knew that the admission tickets were sold out for these few weeks. But, we din expect the crowd to be that bad. When we reached the USS entrance, Daddy & I looked at each other and shaked our heads. Still, we proceeded in.

Waiting for Daddy at the car park...

Timing was jus rite - after renting the double-stroller, we managed to take photos with Madagascar characters. This was what Caden had been looking forward to. Too bad, no dance.

Also met Puss in Boots, who taught the kids to pose...

Then, we headed to watch Shrek 4D. The queue was terrible. We had never needed to queue this long. Think it took us almost an hour to get in there.

We queued for the carousel ride. This wasn't too bad.

Met Winnie the Woodpecker for the 1st time. It's always Woody, the male version.

Looking at the crowd, we decided to get out of the place. After snacking on churros, we left for Vivocity (altho we jus shopped at Vivo the day before). Had lunch at Marche, shopped a while, before heading home.

Brandon & Caden took a photo with Ben 10 outside Toys R Us.

USS, we'll visit again next year, when it's off peak.

Celebrating Cousin Denise's birthday

18 Dec, Sat: We celebrated Cousin Denise's birthday at Aston's @ Suntec. Shopped around after our dinner there. Dunno why, but Mummy me jus din have the mood to take photos... Ended up with jus these few photos in the camera. Oops!

Xiao-gu's birthday

17 Dec, Fri: We celebrated Xiao-gu's birthday in advance on Fri nite cos her friend baked a cake for her. How nice... But, it turned out that the birthday girl (or boy) seems to be Caden instead. This boy ah...

Crocs Expo Sale

17 Dec, Fri: Mummy brought Alicia to Crocs Expo Sale while Daddy stayed at home to look after the 2 boys. We grabbed 2 pairs of shoes each for Mummy, Brandon & Caden and 1 pair each for Alicia & Daddy. : ) Regretted not getting more for Alicia.. Let go of a few pairs but could not find them anymore when I wanted to get them. : (

A Very Merry Pooh Christmas at NEX

16 Dec, Thurs: We went to NEX for lunch and spent enuf to redeem a few passes - 1 photo pass and 3 play passes.

Queueing to take photo with Pooh and friends. Was a little disappointed that there's no musical or show, jus photo-taking.

The shot, without Mummy cos 1 photo pass could only admit 4 pax!

It was great that there's the playland for the kids. Caden, however, was afraid to enter without Mummy. In the end, he only took photos and din participate in any of the other activities. The jie-jies there were nice to allow Mummy to take some pix of them (No parents were allowed in there!).

Daddy & Mummy went back to NEX at 4pm, while the kids were napping, to redeem the free photo. Quite nice... : )

Swim & Bounce

15 Dec, Wed: We went to swim at the club in the morning. Went to T3 for lunch and redeemed few receipts for the kids to play at the bouncing castle.

Caden was very cute. The jie-jie was helping him climb up the slide when he told her fiercely, "I don't need you!"

We rested at Coffee Bean after their bounce and Brandon told Daddy that he loved the cafe cos it's a "No Studying" place! Faintz... Alicia & Brandon continued playing at the T3 Slide while Caden played at the playground.

Penguin Wonderland

We went to Jurong Bird Park, mainly for the Penguin Wonderland attraction today. Da-gu & Cousin Shermaine followed too.
Other than the Penguin attraction, we watched the 2 birds show at the Ampitheatre, visited the Owl at the World of Darkness, fed the birds at Lory Loft and took pictures at the Waterfall Aviary. Those alone, we spent 6.5hrs there. So hot & tired... but, I think the kids enjoyed themselves. : )

Caden - so happy after getting into the wagon cos Mummy asked him to sit on the stroller while jie-jie & gor-gor sat on the wagon.

Caden said he jus wants to take photo with the Flamingoes and Penguins. And he did...At the Penguin Coast

I'm amazed at how these penguins can withstand the hot weather in Singapore. They are not in air-con rooms!

Someone became a masked-monster along the way... sulking.

World of Darkness - how nice cos it's air-conditioned. Happy family

Alicia & Brandon got the invite to the Penguin Party. Caden was afraid to sit with the rest of the kids so got stuck with Mummy outside the enclosed zone. He got comfortable after a while and sat down to watch the magic show. Alicia & Brandon enjoyed the magic show so much they laughed so loudly!
After the almost an-hour show, they were led to the Penguin Coast again to take photo with Pinky, the little penguin. So nice... they could get so close to the penguin. Too bad the photo were taken in groups, and they din allow flash photography. So, the dark photos...
After lunch, we walked to the Lory Loft. It was up the slope and Daddy had problems cos 2 heavy kids sitting in the wagon! They were chanting, "Go Daddy Go! Jia You Jia You!!!" Hilarious!
As you can see, Brandon is the bravest of all...

Den, we walked to Waterfall Aviary. Look at the kids pose!

A last photo with the flamingo before we leave...
