BabyCare Festival

The kiasu Mummy went to Singapore Expo this morning for the BabyCare Festival 2009 by Mother & Baby. It's my 1st to such a fair. Wah... someone should have taken a photo of me. I lugged home 3 packs of Huggies pull-ups pants, 3 packs of Huggies Ultra, 2 900g tins of FM & some free goodies.

Working late

Daddy's been working late for the past 2 weeks. Each day, he'll only get to see & talk to the kids in the morning cos by the time he comes home from work, they'll be asleep.  Last nite, again, he called home before their bedtime to say goodnite to them.

While I was busy taking their photos, they requested me to video them singing again...

This is the result of not being able to settle on a common song to sing together. Moody face...

Alicia wanted to sing the Do-Re-Me song which I found it too long, she settled for this...

She chose another song and I made Brandon think of another one.
Brandon in the background: "Think, think, think... Mummy, I'm like super-sleuth (as in My Friends Tigger & Pooh show)."

By the time they decided on a song, look at what happened.

No eyes see le. So quickly read them a book and put them to sleep.

Play till...

...put-put!!!

Like any other kids, Caden usually walks away from me and stands still when he poos. This time round, he was playing with me and making so much noise that I can't help but want to record it. Suddenly, he gave me a ng-ng face! Aiyo!!!

One of those moments

Yeah.. Alicia & Brandon woke up on the right side of the bed, I guess. Jie-jie insisted on reading the book which I didn't read last nite (cos already read 1 to them before bedtime!).  She made Brandon sit beside her, and read to him. It's one of those moments they'll treasure when they grow up...

They still can make me video them sing (poor quality cos was using handphone)!

More puzzles!

Mummy bought more cheapo 9-pc puzzles for Brandon today.

Kids are so easy to teach!

My little one is now able to walk more steps and loves holding my hand to walk. I'm just waiting for him to be more stable. Shall try to video it.

He's able to understand whatever we say. For e.g., if he is holding onto a bottle of tidbits, and you ask him to pass it to you for you to open, he'll want to pass it to you. However, when you said "keep", he'll hide it behind his back and refuses to pass it to you.

He can now say words like - dog, dark dark, nei-nei (milk), mum-mum (food), door. Yah yah... many other words, except Mummy.

He also loves other people's food. Yesterday, he shared my unagi-don instead of having his porridge. He prefers to eat jie-jie & gor-gor's food - same porridge, instead of his own!

Puzzles

Alicia is great at puzzles. In fact, even her Teacher praised her. She's able to complete a 60-pc on her own.

Mummy just bought a 9-pc puzzle - initially intended for Cousin Cyndi. Brandon started piecing off the puzzles and was so proud of himself. He has been repeating this for many times le. Ok, Mummy is very glad too. At least, you're capable of sitting down and completing a puzzle on your own now - although it's just a 9-piece puzzle.

Hideaway

Opened up the SpongeBob Squarepants hideaway play tent for the kids. Aiyo, can go mad jus watching them play...

Sushi

After a good afternoon nap yesterday, we brought the kids to Sakae Sushi @ J8 for dinner. Caden refused his porridge and jus wanted to eat the sushi rice! Faintz.. so fast can choose his food le. Was so busy feeding the kids that Mummy forgot to take pix!

The kids on the kiddy ride, which Caden was also scared of when it moved...

Swimming

Finally, after almost a year, we went swimming! Daddy is always worried that the kids would fall sick.

Da-yi casually mentioned to Brandon last week that she would bring him swimming this weekend. He remembered and kept reminding me. So, to keep to her promise, we went to her club yesterday.

It's Caden's first swim - he was afraid when we placed him on his swimming float. Alicia was initially afraid to go into the water too. But, slowly, she became more daring and played on the slide alone. Brandon, as usual, is the dare-devil when it comes to the pool. Guess, he enjoyed himself the most!

Mummy didn't manage to take pictures of Caden is water. Only took out the camera when we were cooling off and about to get out of the pool.

Breakfast @ MacDonald's before going to meet Da-yi.

Swim-wear parade @ the changing room. Caden received a hand-me-down from Kieran

In the pool

Finally they get to wear the pcs bot by Small-yi from Disney @ HK Airport

No more diapers

Brandon has successfully weaned off diapers when napping in the afternoon. Teacher Lee praised Brandon and he was so happy. O.. now, Mummy must train him to do so at nite too.

What a kiss!

Caden came close to Mummy and wanted to kiss me on the lips.  I let him do so but... he suddenly opened his mouth and bit my lips!  Ouch!!! The upper lip was so red for some time. Naughty boy!

Private time

Alicia & Brandon will get private time with Mummy when I leave Caden at 99's place. Last nite, they spent time doodling on the new activity books.

Last nite's Dinner

Mummy was inspired by Mummies Tong & Kimi-boy and decided to prepare some bento sets for the kids' dinner. After making a trip to Daiso @ Vivo to get those rice moulds, food cuts & animal pick yesterday, check out my 1st attempt.

Bear-shaped rice, with bunny potato, flower carrots, long beans and steamed cod fish. The kids were so excited but alas... they didn't manage to finish everything. But, nice try, Mummy.

Cousin

The TAN Family welcomes the arrival of a baby cousin for ABC. San-gu delivered a baby girl this morning at 7am. Her sister, Cyndi, would be staying with us these few days.

Baby, yet to be named...

Cousin Cyndi

4th dose of pneumococcal

Caden has his last dose of pneumococcal today. He let out a loud cry and Dr Ong laughed at him. Hopefully, no fever. Wah - $180 jus for it. Bought medicine to standby for Alicia & Brandon too. Also helped Kayla & Kieran get some medicine. Heart ache - total damage = $523! Wa seh!

I'm so proud of...

.. Brandon. He's now able to color nicely within the lines.

Not fantastic, especially with his choice of color, but at least he's able to color within the lines. Jus look at how enthusiastic he is when coloring! When I asked him to sit properly, he replied that he can't reach the head of the goose!

Alicia also not bad. She's great in coloring - a skill she learnt as early as 2 years old.

Bite bite

Caden has been biting Daddy & Mummy these few days... Managed to "capture evidence". See his happy face!

Happy 1st Birthday, Caden!

Balloons & balloons...

Food glorious food

The highlight of the day - cake-cutting! Brandon wanted to be the one in the limelight!

The kids entertained themselves with sand-art & balloon sculpture (forgot to take pix)

My kids with 99 and da-yi & small-yi

Cousins having fun...

The only present Caden received - SpongeBob play tent.

99 bought a pair of shoes for Caden.

We received ang-paos and vouchers. Aunties Co & Jo bought ABC a t-shirt each. Brandon was very excited to open the present, but was very disappointed when he saw the tees, saying, "Only have A for Alicia. No B for Brandon one... Hmph!" We helped to look thru all 3 tees but jus couldn't find the alphabet B. Oops!

1st Haircut

Backdated: 14 Februrary 2009, Saturday

Caden had his 1st haircut a day before his birthday. Gong-gong has been nagging at Mummy for not bringing him for a haircut since CNY.  All our 3 kids are "bo-tah" before they reach 1-year old. Hope he'll grow beautiful hair, jus like Brandon, from now.

Being a MUM

Daddy said reading this comic strip reminds him of Mummy me.

Yeah... I like just getting out of the house.

Happy Valentine's Day

Backdated: 14 Feb 2009, Saturday

Happy belated Valentine's Day to all...

Well, Daddy & Mummy din part-tor this year on Valentine's Day. Guess, spending our time with the 3 kids is more than enuf. Take a look at the gift I received...

She squeezed herself inside the Taka paper carrier!

Isomil

Caden has switched to Isomil, temporarily, as he still has abit of LS. 99 and Grandma said it could be due to teething as the put-put is "flowery". He has poo-ed 3x yesterday and 2x today. Hope it really is poo-ing and not stomach virus.

The helium tank that Mummy loaned has arrived this morning and I've pumped a balloon to try. Hee... Caden was so happy playing with it the whole morning.

Pedicure

O... not for my kids, of course. But, for 2 "lao hiao" - Mummy & 99. We pampered ourselves to pedicure & foot spa today. Caden sat on our laps - Phew! managed to sit thru the session.

99 bought him a pair of shoes for his birthday and he jus loved the Barney car rides (without coin). Went home after lunch, and he slept immediately! Mus be so tired cos he din take his morning nap.

On our bed...

The kids jus love getting on Daddy's back. They were "torturing" him and Mummy me was happily snapping their photos.

Den, all of a sudden, they turned round and sat on top of me! Daddy was laughing all the way - he snatched the camera from me and said, "Come, come... now my turn to take photo for u." Argh!!!
