Alicia's 1st Art Class

Alicia went for her 1st art class yesterday! And boy was she happy. Check out the new bag Mummy bought. Decided on blue instead of pink cos Brandon might use next time...

Brought her to her class at 2pm and saw that she was the youngest. The rest were at least 5 yrs old, as I was told. The teacher was initially worried that she can't he left alone. The students are all "old" students and were already experienced. Most are doing oil pastel on canvas board! Oops... Mummy only prepared drawing block, crayons and color pencils.

Asked the teacher to guide her along and left after kissing her goodbye. Went home to put the boys to bed for their nap. When I went to pick her up at 3.30pm, noticed that she was looking around, watching others painting. Her work is still unfinished. Went in class to check her out. The teacher said she's ok for a beginner. She even asked to go to the toilet halfway thru. A jie-jie brought her there... : )

Mummy watching and guiding her along. Not bad for a first-timer of poster color.

Ta-dah... the completed art piece. Turtles in the water. She drew n colored on her own!

Daddy brought us to 717 for Mao San Wang durian after picking her up. Mmm...

She could draw the turtle again at home for all to see. Mummy is so proud of you, Alicia!

Aaron Kwok De Show Reel Live in Concert 2009

Da-yi's boss gave her a pair of complimentary tickets from Maeserati to Aaron Kwok's concert. Woohoo!!! It was fabulous! I'm no fan of his, but jus know that his shows are worth watching.

We went to the Singapore Indoor Stadium at 6+pm, thinking of having shark's fin for dinner. The place was so crowded that we took some time to get a car park lot. There were lots allocated for Maeserati drivers. Mummy thick-skin and took the letter from Maeserati and told them I didn't drive my Maes, only drove our Merz, asked if we could park at the special lots. Aiya!!! Too bad...

Joke of the Day - sharks swam away. Instead of Shark's Fin, we had 'Shark Way' (Subway). All restaurants were either full or had long q! Ok lah... Daddy brought me for supper @ Chomp Chomp after the show.

Overall, it was a great show. 2x encore and ended at 11.45pm.

Parent Meet Teacher Session

It was parent meet teacher session on Saturday. Daddy & Mummy brought Brandon along to school while Caden was taking his morning nap. Alicia followed the 3 gu-gu to Expo for the Food Fair, Popular Fair & JL Sale. Was told she ate so much and kept telling them, "Don't tell Daddy, Mummy & Brandon."

Both Alicia & Brandon are doing well in school. Hope they'll progress well...

Eat With Your Family Day

Friday was Eat With Your Family Day. Daddy called home from office and suggested going out for dessert after he reaches home. We discussed and decided to go Awfully Chocolate and buy back instead cos Serangoon Gardens would be crowded on a Friday nite. Mummy me only brought $50 cash. We bought a 600g Banana chocolate cake and 2 pints of Hei ice-cream. $51.80. Oops!!! No1 else brought cash. Checked with Da-gu who was talking over the phone outside the shop. Luckily she brought some cash!

Check out the kids - they jus love blowing candles!!!

憫農詩

Heard Brandon mumbling to himself and realised that he knows how to recite a Chinese poem. I made him do it for me this morning. Jie-jie already knew this last year. Sorry, Mummy dunno how to read few of the words... :p So, it's Daddy's job to correct them!

鋤禾日當午,汗滴禾下土。
誰知盤中飧,粒粒皆辛苦。

Alicia's cracking voice early in the morning...

Brandon, the sleepy head..

Toot toot train

Saw the 3 kids playing and tot it's nice to record it down.

Initially started off very well... toot toot... too bad the camera's memory card went full!

Grabbed the other camera and asked them to do it again - Brandon began to "torture" Caden...

Accident prone?

Monday - Picked kids up from school. As usual, bathed Alicia & Brandon together after a 10min rest. Mummy started to wet Brandon's hair and pressed the shampoo. Alicia decided to help me close the bathroom door. Heard her close the door, but opened it again. Den, she closed it again. Jus den, "wah!!!! Mummy pain pain!!!" She giap her finger! Quickly checked on her and saw some blood accumulating under her skin. Mus b very painful cos she cried non-stop. After comforting her, tried my luck by calling our family doctor's mobile to see if he's still at the clinic. Sigh.. went home le. He advised that if there's blood under the nail, mus go c doctor to drain it out. Quickly showered for them and let them have dinner.

Alicia was already laughing & playing when she was having her dinner. But she insisted that she should see a doctor. Ok lor, jus to play safe. Brandon told me he wants to hug n sayang jie-jie when she comes back later. I was thinking - wow, so good boy. But when he added the next sentence, I shook my head. "I want to see what's the something special that Dr Leong gives her." Cos he got a mouse pencil from him the other day!!!

Er-gu sent us to Mt Alvernia cos Daddy's still at work. Waited so long at the A&E altho it was not crowded. We even had to put on a mask which was so uncomfortable. Alicia kept saying she wants to go to Dr Ong's clinic instead.

Luckily, the doctor said the blood was only under the skin, and not the nail. So, no need to drain. He explained the procedure to drain the blood to me and said, "lucky you.." to Alicia, who was laughing when he touched her finger. Yah.. lucky girl.

Swimming

Daddy suggested to bring the kids swimming on Sunday cos the weather was so hot.  Dropped Caden at 99's place cos he coughed a few times, altho minor. Alicia & Brandon are getting better - not so much afraid of water.

Monkeys Galore

Brought the kids to Upper Peirce Reservoir on Saturday evening. Was wondering why there weren't any monkeys on our way into the reservoir. Usually, we'll see so many of them.

Jus when the kids were kicking football, we saw a few monkeys running from tree to tree. There were also a few swinging from tree to tree - with MacDonald's dunno cup or fries pack in their mouth. Far away, there was a troop playing at the pavillion. Aiyo... looks abit scared. Da-gu and Cousins Denise & Shermaine who arrived later, din even dare get close!!!

Got all excited, and didn't take photos of the kids playing with bubbles, etc...

Birthday Celebrations

We celebrated 2 birthdays this week - Cousin Shermaine's birthday on Friday and Da-yi's birthday (in advance) on Sunday. Both had Bakerzin's Chocolate Amer cake cos it's having 50% promotion.  Caden said, "Nice... good... more..." So, u should know how it takes like.

Addition to the PlayDoh

Mummy bought a new Playdoh set for the kids and they played on Saturday while Caden was having his morning nap.

Roarrr!!!

Picked the kids up from school on Friday, after shopping at Tampines One with Da-gu, Er-gu and rest. Was about to leave when the teacher said she had something to tell me. I asked her, "Dun tell me he got bitten again?" Her reply, "Yes, Hwa Quan bite him again." Roarrr!!!!

Asked Brandon where he got bitten and he showed me his back. Jus then, the boy's parents came to pick him up too. I got heated up and shouted at her, "Auntie ah... I was ready to let go yesterday. But today, your son bit Brandon again!" The mum looked at me stunned.

There were a few parents picking up the kids at that moment. The principal came out and invited us to talk inside. I let Alicia go back with Er-gu first.

The mum scolded the boy and apologised to me. I had cooled down and told her I dun blame her, but jus hope she could talk to the boy and stop him from biting Brandon again. Instead, I blamed the teacher. How could she let this happen during lesson time? She kept apologising to me, but I was nasty and glared at her. So angry! Stup** teacher!

There's a bruise - blue black. Hence, brought Brandon to our family doctor, Dr Leong, intending to charge the medical fee to the teacher. Lucky her, Dr Leong didn't charge us cos he said there's no bite into the flesh and doesn't require medication. Brandon even got sweets and a cute mouse pencil from him. Fits him, I think - tiger at home, mouse in school!

The bruise is still there. Different people taught Brandon different ways of retaliating - bite him back, push him away, stay away from him. We'll see if he does any of them.

He could still make funny faces when I tried to take photo of the bruise.

Bitten by a Dinosaur!

I was so angry when I picked Brandon up from school yesterday. There was a bite mark on his left cheek. When I checked with him, he told me his friend, Hwa Quan, bit him! Arghh!!! My handsome boy is not handsome le!!! Asked for the principal when the teacher could not give me a satisfying answer.

Brandon had taken that boy's bolster during nap time. When he got angry, he said, "I'm a dinosaur, and I'll bite u!" There - the bite...

The principal made the boy apologise to Brandon and me this morning. I know it's common for kids to fight with each other. But, a bite? Told the principal that I hope such things would not happen again. 99 and Cousin Val were so angry...

Hiding the Bolster

Caden has a funny habit for the past few days.

On the 1st nite, I couldn't find Brandon's bolster. The next morning, I found it under my bed.
On the 2nd nite, while I was making Ally & Brandon sleep, he walked around the room. I noticed that he flipped up my quilt cover and hid the same bolster at the same spot under my bed.
On the 3rd nite, the same thing happened.
On the 4th nite, he did it again. But, within the next moment, he took it out.
Last nite, he asked to go to bed early. Funny... he did it again!

Why? I shall ask him tonite if I see the same thing happen.

99's baluku

99 had a baluku on her right buttock (she's gonna kill me for announcing this on the blog) for weeks. For the past few days, it was swollen that she can't sit properly. Even the medication given by the GP did not help ease her pain.

Mummy brought her to see Dr SC Wong @ Mt A yesterday morning. Aiyo! It was so bad that she needs to op to remove the infected cyst. So, Mummy stayed in hospital with her the whole day to wait for the afternoon op (GA day surgery). It was so tiring for Mummy - imagine from 10am to 8pm with no proper chair to rest! Good thing I left Caden with grandma at home. And thank God everything went well. 99's resting at home now. Will bring her for a review this Friday.

Reading

Caden loves reading. Dunno if it's good or bad - his SOP = grab a book, say "read", pass the book to Mummy, sit on my lap. Then, he'll expect me to hold the book with 2 hands and read to him. If I only hold it with one hand, he'll grab my other hand to hold the book. When I finish reading a book, he'll either go hunt for another or open up the same book and repeat the SOP. I can read more than 10 books at a time, and I can read a book for at least 3 times a day! My lap can go numb!!!

These are his favourite books - Nursery rhymes, animals or Counting 123.

All the way to...

...Jurong Point!!! Yes, almost half an hour's journey to the west on Saturday. The kids skipped afternoon nap.

Mummy me doesn't like the place cos it's too big and difficult to shop. Worse, it doesn't have playground for kids. : p The only place the kids enjoyed was the Arcade...

Playdoh time when Caden was taking his morning nap.

Only took these photos cos we were stopped by the staff.

Mickey Unlimited

Mummy has been lazing around for a few days. Today, after a 2-hr morning nap with Caden, we went over to Tampines 1 with 99. It was an all-toys window shopping day, cos we only went in to those kids shop!

Jus realised that they have a Mickey Unlimited (or Limited) shop. Caden was so fascinated with the entrance. He was so funny - each time he sees a shelf with things that interests him, he'll say "sit" and really sit down. Then we went to More Than Words and another kids shop.

Jus 3 shops and he started yawning - reminds me of Daddy... Boys don't like to shop??? Mummy made sure I bought a few cheesecakes from Say Cheeze before we went home. Fat-de-fat. Caden had a Mr Bean cheese pancake on the way home, followed by his 7 oz of milk when we reached home and zzz straight... So tired meh?

Not 2, But 4!

Realised that not only the first molars are erupting, even the upper canines are too! So, it's not just 2 teeth but 4 at one go!

Can see the 1st molar from this angle???

Mother's Day celebration

We celebrated Mother's Day! Instead of dining out, we had a yummy dinner at home. This was of course followed by - a cake!

Da-gu bought Ah Ma a gift - catching fish to train up her reflex! It looks more like Children's Day cos it ended up the kids enjoyed the game more than her!

The Little Big Club Live in Concert

Yahoo!!! When Mummy asked Daddy if we could bring the kids to The Little Big Club Live in Concert, he agreed! The kids will get to watch not jus Barney, but Bob the Builder and many others... Luckily din get the tickets earlier cos Toys R Us member now gets 15% discount. Looking forward to the show.

Happy Mother's Day

Alicia drew on her Doodle Pro and I was so happy with the picture - a very beautiful Daddy. Too bad she erased off quickly. Brandon got his Doodle Pro and began drawing too. I told Daddy, "Daddy, see, Brandon can draw you too."

When Daddy saw the picture, he laughed and asked Brandon who that was - Daddy or Mummy? He kept quiet. He prompted him saying, "Today is Mother's Day. So, who did u draw?" His reply, "Mummy". No lah! I'm very sure he was drawing Daddy. Please judge - look more like Daddy rite?

What a drawing... he needs more practice.  But, Mummy still praised Brandon for doing a great drawing.

Daddy couldn't help but kept laughing at the "Mummy" drawing.

Here's wishing a Happy Mother's Day to all dear mummies out there...

Arms aching...

Daddy & Mummy's arms are aching. It must be cos of the swim yesterday. Yeah!!! We brought the kids to Chinese Swimming Club and they enjoyed themselves so much! Caden played the slide a few times and kept asking for "more..". When his face was so wet from all the water splashing, we asked 99 to get a dry towel to clean his face. He grabbed Da-yi and refused to get out of the water! Kept saying, "more, more.." pointing to the pool. Guess the kids were hungry after the swim. Caden kept saying, "mum mum..." when we walked past the Chinese restaurant. Too bad it was fully booked. We had dinner at the Jap restaurant instead. Alicia had a mini bowl of ramen + 2 mini bowls of unagi rice! The best - they slept early!!! And so did Daddy & Mummy. : )

All ready to go... I jus love the Dora & Diego set.

Photos taken only when we were cooling down by the side. Time to consider getting a water-camera!

Another Brothers Only Day

Brandon woke up with a mild fever. Kept him at home to prevent him from catching virus in school. He's ok now... playing with the aqua doodle. So, it's "Brothers Only" day again.

My brave boy

After so long, Mummy finally brought Brandon for his 18 months jab. Yes... more than a year late cos he jus kept falling sick. This week, we finally made it. Not one but 2 jabs. Dr Ong wanted him to take the pneumoccocol jab too. Dr Ong praised him, "Very brave boy..." as he only teared and not cry. So what did he get from Dr Ong in return? A lollipop!!!

Brought him to Tampines Mall for lunch @ Sakae Sushi. He loved the fire engine kids set but see see only. He doesn't like the kids meal but loved ours instead. To reward him for his bravery, Mummy brought him to Toys R Us to get him his critter blaster. He saw 2 kids playing when we were swimming the other day and asked me for it. Bought 1 for Alicia too. Hope he won't be the 5% to get feverish so that we can go swimming again this weekend.

Jus to mention - we chose a wrong timing to go TMC. The checks for the H1N1 flu was so intense. We had to queue for our temperature to be taken and fill up forms before we were allowed to go into the hospital. All hospital staff were equipped with masks n aprons. When we were about to leave the hospital, we saw someone holding a walkie talkie rushing past us. Next, saw that 2 staff were guiding a lady to 24-hr outpatient clinic - jus so cos she has a fever!!! Knew it cos she was having a red label indicating her temperature on her tee! Our labels are blue. So kua zhang!!!

Mickey Mouse Dance

Caden loves to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cartoon. This morning, I casually asked him to dance and was surprised at how he did it. Kids really do learn fast. 99 and I jus couldn't help laughing...

Mother's Day coming!!!

Ever since Alicia started attending school, I'll always look forward to celebrating Mother's Day. Not cos I'll receive expensive gifts or yummy cakes, but cos I love receiving tiny gifts from my girl. The other day, she came back singing a song she learnt from school. As it's in Mandarin, sorry if u can't decipher what the lyrics are. Hee... Brandon also couldn't sing the full song for me. Well, as long as I understand it. (=^-^=)

Teeth Nos. 9 & 10

Caden is teething again. This time, it's 2 teeth on the left - 1 on upper & 1 lower. This also means that he's drooling so much. As usual, everything also goes into his mouth...

Go Diego Go!

Jus when I was saying Alicia wants to be called Dora these few days after her hair cut. Brandon sulked and said this to me yesterday, "Mummy, call me Diego." Faintz...

He has been jealous that we've been teasing Alicia for looking like Dora after her hair cut! So, I've got a Dora & Diego at home now! This morning, when I called for Dora, she replied, "No, Mummy. I don't want to be Dora. I am Alicia." Hmm... shall see when my Diego "disappear".

Water Play, again

Sunday - Brought the kids for a haircut in the morning. My lovely girl jus wanted to be called Dora for the day.

No afternoon nap!!! Yup, guess they were too excited over going out that all 3 played and played in the room instead. The kids requested to have water play again. Initially wanted to bring them to the reservoir to see monkeys but they wanted to go Sembawang Splash Park. Ok lor...

We had dinner at Aston's Restaurant and when we reached home, the kids went to bed so so early!!!
Brandon was so afraid of the boy in blue above - he kept snatching his water gun!!! Spoilt his mood for the day.

Water Play

Friday, May Day - Woohoo!!! Public Holiday!

We brought the kids to Laguna club for a swim. Initially, refused to let Alicia go cos she did not take her afternoon nap. Er-gu saved her, cos when we were about to go out without her, Er-gu came back and said they plan to go for dinner. Sorry - no pix cos Daddy & Mummy had to jagar 3 kids! Could tell that they really enjoyed themselves. Alicia didn't need time to warm up this round. Even Caden loved the water. We had our dinner at Lakes Cafe and the kids slept early after we reached home!
