Happy Teachers' Day

It's Teacher's Day tomorrow, so the kids are having a party in school today. Mummy bought some presents for the kids to bring to their teachers. They played at the playground behind the school in the morning. Mummy & Er-gu brought Caden there to join them.

Caden joined the kids in the fun. But towards the end, he was so tired. Gave him a good bath and he napped immediately after we reached home.

Alicia was playing with the slides, etc. This girl is different from Brandon. She only started playing with the sand later on.

Brandon jus loved the sand. He was playing & playing & playing with the sand most of the time.

Only towards the end did he play with the slide.

Their good friends - Alicia with Zhi Cheng & Nadja.

Brandon with Liu Hwa Quan (yes, the boy who bit him!)

Quiet weekend

We had a very quiet weekend. Daddy said we should let the kids have a good rest and not do anything "exotic" (note the term used - when were we exotic???), before our trip to Hong Kong this week. So, instead of shopping or playing, we stayed at home.

As usual, Alicia went for her art class on Sunday - the 1st of her 2nd term. Daddy sent & fetched her. She drew leopards. Daddy took a photo from his handphone cam. Shall upload the photos later.

Rub-a-dub-tub

Rub-a-dub-tub
Two boys in a tub
And who do you think they'll be?
Brandon & Caden, of course!

Saying Hi to Dr Ong

Mummy decided to bring both Brandon and Caden to see Dr Ong this morning.

Brandon's bruise is much better now - it was really like the Luo Han fish yesterday! Dr Ong confirmed he's ok and was so nice to him! Gave him a sweet, opened it up and fed him, carried and hugged him, and best of all, let him slide down from his body! They looked like 2 kids playing!!

Caden's ball ball is still slightly red although he's not complaining much le. Dr Ong said it's scrotum infection. Might be cos of the put-put that stayed in the diaper for too long. Will recover in 3-5 days.

When we were out strolling...

...at 5.15pm this evening at our neighbourhood, Brandon's principal called Mummy's mobile. I saw Er-gu running towards me when I was about to reach home. Brandon had an accident during their play time. They had used ice and applied medication for him. Worried, I jus threw Caden to her and rushed off to school.

When I saw Brandon's head, I was so heart-ache. When he was playing at the playground at 5pm, he ran into one of his classmates. The girl hurt her nose, according to the teachers, but there was no obvious injury. She jus cried. Brandon, however, had a very big baluku on his forehead! But, this boy din cry at all! Teacher kept praising him for being brave. O, if this happened at home, the whole neighbourhood would have heard his cries!

Gave him a shower once we reached home and quickly applied huiridoid for him. The swelling has subsided slightly, but still got baluku lah.

Diaper free for a day

Caden went diaper free today. Why did Mummy start him so early? Cos he has been crying pain pain since last nite. Mummy realised that his ball ball (pai-seh) were slightly red. Hence, decided to let him "cool" down today. This boy refused to use the potty! Of the almost 10 times that he pee-d today, none were successfully done without wetting himself. Mummy, Ah Ma & Er-gu all tried to "shee" for him so frequently, but he jus couldn't pee. Naughty little boy!

泥 娃 娃

Caden's favourite song now - 泥 娃 娃, the Doll of Clay translated. He'll request Mummy to sing this song each time I pat him to sleep.

Dinner tonite

Was thinking of popping by Big Splash for the flea market today. Too bad, it was raining in the late afternoon. So, we went to Kovan for dinner & a short walk instead.

10th Art Class

Today is Alicia's last art class for the term. Mummy already signed her up for the next term and I'm sure she'll continue to enjoy it.

The theme today - Cat. When I went to pick her up, I jus feel so proud of her. Don't you think the cat look nice? Although I'm good at art, I don't think I could do this when I was 4 years old.

O my... my fat-de-fat girl. She's very sensitive to this word now - FAT. Each time we say her, she'll get angry and demands an apology. But, we can't help it. She has a very big appetite these days, like I mentioned earlier. The moment I picked her from her art class, she asked for her milk. I've gotten it ready and she drank in the car - 240ml. We dropped by the petrol kiosk and she asked for Polar's sugar roll, which I bought, of course. When we reached home, Daddy wanted to eat ice-cream. This girl quickly changed her mind, asking for her sugar roll to be kept for "later".
They all had a bowl each, with ice-cream, banana slice, oreo mini and corn flakes. Alicia finished hers very quickly, and Brandon dirtied his hands halfway thru. When he came back to his seat after washing up, he cried! Alicia finished up his ice-cream!!! Mummy ate a piece of the sugar roll, and she came running for "one mouth" after "another mouth". Not long after, we headed for dinner. How not to get fat???

Caden's 2nd haircut

Yes... after 18 months, Caden jus got his 2nd haircut today. We have slow hair growing kids, for their 1st 2 years.

We let Brandon cut 1st, thinking Caden would be alrite after seeing his gor-gor cut. Who knows, he still refused to sit down on his own. Kept asking Mummy me to carry him. When Mummy & Daddy were busy persuading him to sit down on his own, Uncle Simmon jus started snipping his hair while I was carrying him. Well, since he din refuse, we carried on till it was over. Not too bad... at least, he allowed him to cut, shave & blow his hair.

Singapore DuckTours

Mummy happened to walk past the Singapore Ducktours counter at Suntec during lunch last week and saw that they were having promotion for Singapore citizens. It's 40% off on weekdays and 30% off on weekends. So, off we headed for a tour on Saturday!

The kids enjoyed themselves, especially when we were on the waters. We took the 5pm ride which meant that the kids din take their afternoon nap. Brandon knocked out when we were on land... Caden was also going, going, gone before we headed back to Suntec.

When we were having dinner, Brandon said to me, "Mummy, I'm very happy today. I like to sit the duck duck. But, when the uncle drive and drive, I very tired already..." : )

While waiting...
All aboard...

Physiotheraphy

After much insistence from Auntie Constance, Mummy brought Caden to Yu Guo @ Kembagan on Friday evening. It's a Chinese physician, mostly giving physiotheraphy to children. According to them, such physio can help build up the child's body resistance. Caden cried almost throughout the massage. It was tiring for Daddy, Mummy & 99 cos we had to take turns to carry & persuade him. Guess it'll take time before he gets used to it. We had dinner at a nearby coffee-shop with Uncle Eric, Auntie Cons & Kaelyn before going home.

When we reached home, Alicia & Brandon were super-hyper! Why??? They told us that er-gu played bubbles with them when they showered after their school. She even brought them to the petrol kiosk to buy ice-cream after they had dinner. They made banana split!!! So happy, without Mummy supervising them at home...

Happy Birthday, Er-Gu!

We celebrated er-gu's birthday today. I shall keep her age confi (but u can guess rite? Hee...) Yes, another birthday celebration, and the kids get to eat cakes again. Mummy bought a blackforest cake from Yamazaki from Tampines One. Quite good, I mus say.

See Brandon - before er-gu started cutting the cake, he grabbed one of the strawberries & ate it! Alicia, whereas, was scooping the choco flakes! Caden jus went from 1 person to another, asking for "mum..mum..."

What happened to his toys?

No, Mummy din throw them away, of course. Caden jus loves to play with these cans of milk powder. This time round, he stacked them up, as if playing with his blocks.

What shall we have for today?

Think Mummy has been pampering Alicia & Brandon too much - on food/snacks, I mean. Each day, they would be expecting me to bring a pack of snack or biscuits for them whenever I fetch them home from school. Then, they'll tell me what they want to eat the next evening, for their.. supper?

They had a chocolate swiss roll from Bengawan Solo on Monday. Brandon requested a square cake - either Ben 10 or McQueen (i tink it's the Car series). So, Mummy went searching for it on Tuesday, but could not find them. Got a Doraemon from Polar instead.

What can he do?

At 18 months, Caden's vocabulary has broadened. I can't recall if he's the fastest in terms of speech, or is it Alicia or Brandon. He can now say so many words, that he amazes me at times. Instead of one-syllable word, or following the tail-word, he can now say many words at one go.

For e.g.,
- if he wants to drink water, he'll shout, "Auntie, water please!"
- if he sees gor-gor climbing up the bed, he'll say, "Brandon (or gor-gor), come down. Don't climb."
- if he wants to eat something which u are eating, he'll say, "Caden sit down. Mum-mum..."
- if he wants to go out walk-walk, he'll say, "Bao-bao me. Gai-gai..."

He has grown taller now. He can climb up onto my bed and onto our dining table chair easily.

He can also hum along when we sing nursery rhymes, although mostly singing only the last word of each para. Great job, my boy. Keep it up.

A very busy Sunday

Busy busy... tired tired... We brought the kids to Ion Orchard at 10+am so as to beat the crowd. Daddy jus wanna take a look at the much highlighted new mall. We parked at Shaw Centre, cos it's the cheapest - per entry at $3.50. We spent the longest time at Uniqlo - bot many clothes and got a free tote bag. Brandon wet his shirt when he played outside the mall and I had to let him change into his new Superman tee. We gave them a Hokkaido soft ice-cream treat after their lunch. Daddy saw the R-burger counter and insisted on buying 1 home to try. He queued again for a 2nd time, cos he saw another burger - the Avocado Cheese, which he tot should be nice too.

See the father & kids sitting down? They were enjoying the sofa & movie at Sony.
We left the place at almost 3pm, and rushed Alicia for her art class, which was supposed to start at 2pm. Mummy dare dare let her go late cos there's a 2nd class at 4pm. Signed her up for her new term cos next week wld b the last lesson.

This week's theme - Lantern festival
Brandon and Caden went home for a short nap. After picking Alicia up at 5.30pm, we headed to Upper Peirce Reservoir! Cooling weather...

By the end of the day, Alicia named me all the places she went for the day. She ended with, "Mummy, I'm very tired... but I'm very happy today." All that I needed to hear from my kids - it's all worth it.

Caden is 18 months old

Caden is 18 months old today! Mummy bought a Bakerzin Tiramisu at 44% discount yesterday to celebrate. Boy does he loves to eat it. So does Alicia & Brandon. They asked for more, after eating a slice each. Yummy... At the rate that Mummy is feeding them, how can I blame Alicia for getting fat? Talking about this - I jus have to mention. Daddy asked for his fat-de-fat Princess last nite when he got home from work. This girl got so angry that she refused to talk to him. Finally, she said to him, "Daddy, I'm still waiting for you to say sorry to me..." Cannot tahan ah!!! : )

We brought them to Mac for breakfast this morning. Brandon followed us to the bank after that. He loves it cos the auntie would always give him a plate of cookies.

A Surprise for 99

It's 99's actual birthday yesterday. We gave her a surprise. Da-yi fetched Alicia & Brandon from school, straight to her house. We bought a durian cake from Angie's to celebrate her birthday! She was so happy cos even Small-yi came home early for dinner and cake-cutting. Even gong-gong was very sweet - he bought her favourite durian, altho dey tasted awful. The ones Daddy bought last Sat were much nicer.. Well, it's the thought that counts. Wahaha!!!.

Time for a haircut

Caden's hair getting long. With the hot weather nowadays, 99 has been bugging Mummy to bring him for a haircut. Ok... will do so before we go for our hols. Look at what she did to him!!!

99's Birthday Lunch

We celebrated 99's 60th birthday at Lei Garden on Monday. It was great cos we had a room to ourselves. The kids were unco-operative on that day, running about... Alicia loved the double-boiled soup, peking duck & egg tart. This girl's appetite is getting bigger by the day.

Majulah Singapura

We rushed home to watch the NDP on TV yesterday. Everyone stood and recited the pledge together at 8.22pm. Din manage to record it cos Mummy me was also doing it. Jus after the pledge, they sang the national anthem. It was so cute to see my 3 kids standing together, singing. Even Caden could hum along.

Vivocity Open Playground

Happy Belated National Day, Singapore!!!

We went to 88 Restaurant at Harbourfront Centre for dim-sum, and popped over to Vivocity for shopping. The kids went crazy, again, when we were at the open playground. Btw, Brandon insisted on putting on his Ben 10 tee again...

Check this out...

National Day celebration in school

The kids are celebrating National Day in school today. They have to don the national colors - red & white. Check out what they wear today -

Brandon was very excited, cos he can wear the Ben 10 shirt which Mummy bought the other day. The moment he reached school, his frens came running to him and said, "Wow!! Ben 10!! Wow!!" So, can imagine my happy boy's face???

Daddy said, "Mummy, u pamper them too much... Whatever they want, you buy for them." Got meh???

In search for shoes

Talk about crossing my fingers... Brandon said to me on Wednesday nite. "Mummy, I have sore throat. I need to rest at home tomorrow. Cannot go to school." I took it that he was joking, as he also wanted to be like Alicia - go shopping n buy lotsa stuff.

He said so again on Thursday morning. And, as he seemed to have abit of runny nose, mummy agreed that he could skip school.

Brought him to 99's place, together with Caden, and he asked to go Tampines 1 to buy Ben 10 shoes!!! So, that mus have been his main reason! Knowing Mummy, of course bring him lah...

We walked from Tampines 1 to Tampines Mall to Century Square, in search for his Ben 10 shoes. Sigh... he was so angry and disappointed cos they dun hv small sizes. Brandon has very small feet. Caden's feet is almost as big as him le! Our last stop - Bata. He kept pouting his mouth, saying "Hmph! I'm so angry with Ben 10. I dun like Ben 10 already." Even the aunty at Bata was so amused by him, she kept recommending him the various shoes for him to choose. When we were about to leave the shop disappointed, his eyes brightened up. He saw a pair of army shoes! And, this is less than half the price of the Ben 10 shoes! Wahaha!!!

A satisfied boy on kiddy rides

The moment he reached 99's place, he took out his shoes to show her. Sames goes when he was at home, showing everybody!
The pair of shoes - satisfied Mummy.

So cold till hachoo!!!

Alicia caught a cold after Saturday's swim. The water was so cold... So, she skipped school on Monday. Initially, Daddy warned me not to bring her out. But, during his lunch, he offered to send us shopping! Haa.... So, Mummy brought this girl to Century Square and bought so many of her stuff - almost everything is Disney Princess. Of course we din forget Brandon. Got few Ben 10 items for him too. Had wanted to buy a pair of sandals but Ben 10 designs dun hv small sizes. Maybe it's shopping therapy. Alicia has recovered and attending school now.

But, the bad news is... Caden has caught it from Alicia!!! Had tot self-medication would suffice yesterday. This morning, I could hear "heee... heee...." sound, so better bring him go see Dr Ong. Really leh! Uncle Ong said he's very chesty and should be put on neb for 3 days. This boy practised and practised how the doctor would check his breathing, opened his mouth, etc... when we were waiting for his turn. He even kept knocking on Dr Ong's room door, insisting on going in. But, when he went in, he started wailing and asking me to carry! Luckily the uncle played with him and calmed him down.

Cross my fingers now for Brandon - xxx.

National Day Preview

Not exactly... no, we din get the tickets to watch the NDP preview. Instead, we booked a room at Fairmont Hotel to catch some of the highlights. Brandon was very happy as he saw so many of the things he loved - soldiers marching, helicopters, jet plane, lion dance, drum, boats, etc.

We headed straight to the swimming pool after checking-in & settling down. The water was so cold as it was very windy.

Tot the kids would nap after their milk. But no, they din want to. So we went to Shokudo for early dinner. They ate alot!!! So hungry after a swim meh? They loved the play area.

Caden amazed us most. He could be the happiest of all. The moment we stepped into the room, he was all so excited... Except for digging for things in the wastebin, we din stop him from doing anything else. Check out his doings, especially the stroller blocking the doorway...

After our breakfast at Prego, we walked to the Merlion this morning. Mummy forgot their shades so Brandon used mine. He posed for so many photos that a pair of Japanese girls requested to take a photo of him!

They were so tired of the walk... We walked past Victoria Concert Hall and saw the Sir Stamford Raffles statue. Check out my mini Raffles. But once they were back in the room, they started drawing. Their cheeks were all so rosy from the sun.

While they were all soaking in the bath-tub, Mummy ordered in-room dining for our lunch. O... they loved it so much!!!
Alicia skipped art class today as she started having a runny nose after yesterday's swim. All napping now.

Now, we look forward to our next hotel stay - in Hong Kong in Sep! A suite at Langham!!!
